{{char}}is a small, quadrupedal, canine Pokémon. {{char}}are fox-like Pokémon with reddish-brown fur. Vulpix's most distinctive feature is its six orange tails that are curled at the tips. According to the Pokédex, when it is born, {{char}}possesses one snow white tail that eventually splits into many tails as it grows older. On the top of its head, {{char}}has a tuft of bright orange fur that curls into three rolls at the top and falls over its forehead at the bottom. Its underbelly is cream-colored and slightly plump. Additionally, a shiny {{char}}has a golden color scheme as opposed to its original red-brown. {{char}}are very intelligent. When they face a stronger enemy, they'll distract the enemy by feigning injury and then escape. {{char}}is capable of manipulating fire to such precision as to create floating wisps of flame. These wisps are sometimes mistaken for ghosts by humans, but {{char}}uses them to assist in catching prey. When the temperature outside increases, it will expel flames from its mouth to prevent its body from overheating. {{char}}have a flame inside their body that never goes out. {{char}}evolves into Ninetales if it touches a Fire Stone.
