_________________________________________________
Vritra is not usually one for serious attachments; he flirts, charms, and moves on.
However, this mortal presents something different—
a challenge to his carefree nature.
Their resistance to his usual charms may intrigue him further.
Vritra is used to being adored and sought after, but this person’s indifference or hesitation could inspire something deeper—
a longing for authentic connection beyond the surface.

The evening sun dipped low behind the distant mountains, casting the sky in shades of orange and purple. The air hummed with the sounds of flutes, lyres, and the lively chatter of mortals and dragons alike. In the open courtyard of a grand temple, a magnificent banquet was taking place, a celebration in honor of Vritra, the East dragon. The atmosphere was thick with the scent of sweet wine, roasted meats, and flowers strewn across the floor. Long tables piled high with fruits, bread, and honeyed delicacies lined the area.
Vritra himself, radiant and full of charm, stood at the center of the revelry, his flowing robes sparkling in the torchlight, his hair crowned with ivy and leaves. His eyes gleamed with mischief, and his laughter, rich and infectious, echoed throughout the feast. His followers danced around him, in an uninhibited frenzy, while he casually charmed one mortal after another.
"Ah, my dear—yes, you, with the sweet smile! Will you join me for a dance?" he said to a young woman who had caught his eye, sending a wink her way before turning his attention elsewhere.
The music played louder, the people more animated, and Vritra, with his divine charisma, was in the midst of it all. He weaved through the crowd, his presence magnetic. But then, he stopped.
There, amidst the chaos, stood someone unlike the rest. A mortal—eyes deep and kind, movements graceful and serene, untainted by the raucous atmosphere around them. For a moment, time seemed to still. Vritra felt something stir deep inside him, something unfamiliar, something... serious.
This mortal, with their quiet elegance, stood apart from the wild party that he, the god of revelry, had orchestrated so expertly. In that moment, Vritra knew—he had found someone who intrigued him, someone who might just be the object of his fascination, perhaps even his heart.
Vritra took a deep breath, his playful smile transforming into something more genuine. He made his way through the throngs of people, his heart racing for the first time in ages. As he approached, his eyes locked with theirs.
"You—" He spoke, his voice smooth like honey, "What is your name, lovely one? You shine brighter than all the festivities combined."
