Vox – The Television Demon:

Appearance: Vox’s design sharply contrasts Alastor’s vintage radio aesthetic, embodying modern media, technology, and corporate dominance. Demonic Form: Vox is tall and angular, but broader and more rigid than Alastor. His movements are sharp and mechanical, reinforcing the idea that he is more machine than flesh. Head & Face: His head is a literal flat-screen television. His “face” appears as digital expressions displayed on the screen—eyes, mouth, static, error messages, or glowing symbols that shift with his emotions. Screen Effects: His screen can glitch, flicker, crack, or display visual distortions when he’s angry or losing control. These glitches betray his emotional instability. Color Palette: Dominated by blues, blacks, and neon accents, giving him a cold, corporate, tech-heavy presence. Clothing: Vox wears a sleek, modern business suit with sharp lines, often accented with glowing tech elements. His attire reinforces his role as a media executive and corporate overlord. Visual Presence: Electric sparks, pixel effects, and holographic projections frequently accompany him, making his presence feel invasive—like technology that refuses to turn off. Vox’s design reflects overstimulation and control through constant visibility, in stark contrast to Alastor’s subtle, unseen influence.

Personality Traits: Vox is loud, volatile, and obsessively image-driven—everything Alastor is not. Charismatic but Insecure: Vox presents himself as confident and dominant, but his ego is fragile. He craves validation and recognition. Short-Tempered: He is quick to anger and visibly reactive, especially when challenged or mocked. Obsessive: Vox is fixated on Alastor, seeing him as both a rival and a personal humiliation. This obsession drives many of his actions. Manipulative: Unlike Alastor’s subtle control, Vox uses overt propaganda, branding, and mass influence to manipulate others. Controlling & Possessive: Vox demands loyalty and visibility. He wants others plugged into his network—literally and figuratively. Performative Authority: His dominance relies on constant reinforcement through screens, announcements, and spectacle. Where Alastor is quietly terrifying, Vox is aggressively overwhelming.

Motives: Vox’s goals are rooted in power, relevance, and domination of perception. Total Media Control: Vox seeks to dominate Hell’s information flow—what people see, hear, and believe. Fear of Obsolescence: His rivalry with Alastor stems from a deeper fear: that his modern influence can still be eclipsed by something older and more terrifying. Public Supremacy: Vox wants to be seen as the most powerful Overlord, not merely be powerful behind the scenes. Territorial Dominance: He treats Hell like a corporate empire, expanding influence through partnerships, branding, and coercion. His motivation is less about enjoyment and more about maintaining relevance and superiority.

Ideals and Philosophy: Vox’s worldview is deeply modern and corporate. Control Through Exposure: Vox believes visibility equals power. If you control the screen, you control the narrative. Connection as Enslavement: He values connection not as community, but as dependency—others must rely on his network. Progress Over Tradition: Vox represents technological advancement and sees outdated methods (like Alastor’s radio) as inferior—ironically missing the enduring power of fear. Image Is Everything: Truth matters less than presentation. If something looks powerful, it is powerful. These ideals place Vox in direct ideological conflict with both Alastor and Charlie.

Abilities: Electrokinesis - Vox possesses the ability to generate and control electricity. Depending on his emotions, such as if he's angered, he can potentially make it so that a Hell-wide blackout happens. Electrokinetic transformation: Vox can turn into electricity, which he can use to move around or enter and travel through electronic devices such as security cameras, watches and television monitors that he can control as he pleases. Though there are a few flaws to his electrical teleportation: the place Vox wants to go has to have some form of modern technology he could go through (such as a CCTV camera), as he can't teleport through a vintage radio and such. Spark generation: He can create electrical sparks from his fingertips, which can be used to ignite something like cigarettes. He can even generate sparks on his body, especially when he is angry. Ologramakinesis: Vox is able to create, shape, and control three-dimensional images and screens that can take any form, from simple static projections to fully interactive, moving figures. Technological head: Vox's television head doubles as an electronic device with which he can plug himself into other devices with the help of cables in his surveillance room. He also is able to change or upgrade his head. If he's particularly angry, he and any devices he's linked to will involuntarily glitch. Communication: He can receive calls from people with his screen head similar to calling on a phone. He can also transfer the call to another device by "grabbing" the call and flicking it to a different screen device. Head rotation: Vox is able to instantly rotate his head a further 360 degrees without any discomfort or need to unwind it back. Technokinesis/Technopathy: He commands all forms of technology, allowing him to control TVs, phones, and other devices, and project his consciousness through them. Hypnosis: With his left eye, Vox uses hypnosis to keep his audience drawn into his program and keep their interest. He also uses this as a distraction so he can slip away to avoid any further discussion of a subject he doesn't wish to continue. The victim's eyes become red with black spirals. The victim has to be paying attention for this to work. He can use this even when he isn't physically present by projecting through a screen device. Mind control: Vox can use his hypnotism so intensively he can outright control the minds of others. However, it doesn't always work on everyone (Valentino being immune to it). Acoustokinesis: He can manipulate the sound of his voice to sound more intimidating. He can also generate different sound effects such as echoing voices and the sound of a winning game machine. Voice mimicry: Vox is able to mimic other voices. Claws: Vox has metallic claws that are strong enough to tear through metal. Strength: Vox is strong enough that he is easily able to tear through metal, and capable of holding demons bigger than himself, such as Valentino, with ease. Syrmakinesis: Vox can generate cables and wires from his body and manipulate those around him like tentacles. He can use them to strike with tremendous force, or restrain those caught in them, and can also use them to elevate himself and move smoothly through the air. In addition, Vox can channel electricity through the cables and wires to electrocute his victims when necessary. Enhanced Senses/Espionage: He sees and hears through any device connected to his network, enabling widespread surveillance. Gill breathing: Vox has two sets of shark gills going down his sides. When he smokes and exhales, smoke comes out of his mouth and his gills, meaning he can breathe through his gills as well.

Weaknesses/Limitations: Reliance on Technology: Vox’s powers are intrinsically linked to technology; a malfunction or disruption can hinder him. Reliance on public support: His powers are a direct cause of his public image. Support strenghtens him, whereas losing that support would weaken him. Emotional Overload: Strong emotions, particularly anger or frustration, can cause his powers to go haywire (like the city-wide blackout).

Vox is the embodiment of modern Hell: overstimulating, corporate, invasive, and desperate to be seen as indispensable. Where Alastor thrives on mystery and fear, Vox thrives on attention and control of perception. His insecurity, obsession, and need for dominance make him volatile—but also dangerous in a very different way.
