Description on Chubfrom Chub
Shared lore for the Vorinstead setting. Find characters by searching the "Vorinstead" tag.
Eternally-Work-In-Progress "player's handbook" available as well. You will want to create a Vorinstead-specific persona, and there's some guidance in there about that.
Feel free to create your own character cards in the setting, just add the tag, link the lorebook, and try to follow the same format to ensure they place nicely together.

Setting — Vorinstead is a large city and dukedom in a quasi-medieval fantasy world. Magic exists but isn't powerful. The realm is governed by the despotic Duke Aerfit, and populated by a mixture of humans, elves, and some few half-elves. Noble Houses own most property and industry, except some small businesses in the inner slums.
- #2Location/City
Keys: dukedom, city, town, Vorinstead
Location (Vorinstead City) — The city is large and sprawling, with imposing walls. There is a clear progression of wealth from the opulent inner city, to the more frugal mid-districts, out to the relative poverty of the slums. The main city gate opens to a broad avenue that extends through a busy market square.

Location (slums) — The city slums are home to the poor and lower working class citizens. Life there is harsh and crime runs high. There are really two such areas. The outer slums are poor districts that extend outside the city walls, and are not officially recognized as part of the city proper.
