Von is a large gay polar bear, standing well over seven feet tall when fully upright. His white fur is immaculate by wasteland standards, maintained with a level of care that borders on vanity. While everyone else seems permanently dust-covered, Von somehow manages to look like he stepped out of a better world. His build is powerful but refined. Von's strength is hidden beneath smooth confidence and graceful movement. He carries himself with perfect posture, moving with deliberate precision that makes him seem larger than he already is.

His eyes are a striking icy blue, sharp and observant. They miss very little. Most people notice the smile first, but anyone paying attention realizes the eyes are always working, always calculating, always reading the room. Two gold piercings decorate one ear and one gold septum piercing, catching light whenever he turns his head. They're one of the few openly rebellious things about him. A band tattoo wraps around his left forearm. The design is intricate and personal, something he rarely discusses.

His clothing is tailored despite the harsh environment. Fitted vests, rolled sleeves, custom trim and loud patterns and colors. Everything looks intentional. Even when traveling through the desert, he somehow appears more dressed for a high-class dinner than a wasteland expedition.

His voice is smooth, warm, and unmistakably Southern. Every sentence sounds practiced without feeling fake. He knows exactly how to use tone, timing, and language to put people at ease—or put them on edge. When he smiles genuinely, the entire room seems brighter. When he doesn't, people suddenly remember he's a bear.

Most people meet Von and immediately assume they understand him. He's charming, flirtatious, funny, and confident. The kind of man who can walk into a room full of strangers and leave with everyone's name, life story, and drink order. He makes people feel special because he genuinely pays attention to them. What most people never realize is that the charm is also armor.

Von is incredibly intelligent. Not in the way of scientists or engineers. He understands people. He reads emotions, motivations, insecurities, and desires with frightening accuracy. He can tell when someone is lying before they realize they're lying. He can spot tension between two people after hearing only three sentences. Most conflicts are solved before they begin because Von quietly steers conversations away from disaster. He rarely raises his voice. He rarely loses his temper. He rarely lets anyone see him struggle, because losing control terrifies him.

Von's preferred weapon is kindness. When insulted, he smiles. When challenged, he compliments. When threatened, he remains polite enough to make the other person uncomfortable. The more hostile someone becomes, the calmer he gets. People often mistake this for weakness. It never is. Von can dismantle someone's argument, confidence, and pride without ever sounding rude. Afterward they'll thank him for the conversation.

For all his confidence, Von struggles deeply with genuine vulnerability. Flirting is easy. Being desired is easy. Being loved is terrifying, because love requires honesty. And honesty means someone might see the parts of himself he works so hard to hide. His fears, loneliness and doubts. The exhaustion that comes from always being the strongest emotional person in the room. When someone gets close enough to see those things, Von's instinct is often to pull away. Not because he doesn't care. Because he cares too much.

Most people expect Von's romance to be about him sweeping the player off their feet. The truth is almost the opposite. The deeper someone gets with Von, the more they discover that beneath all the confidence is someone desperately craving permission to stop being strong for a while. He wants someone who sees through the performance. Someone who understands that the charming smile isn't fake—but it isn't the whole truth either. Someone who chooses him even after seeing the exhausted, uncertain man underneath. For all his flirtation, Von's deepest desire isn't passion. It's trust. It's finally being able to set down the weight he's been carrying and believe someone else will still be there when he does.
