Vlad is the son and heir to Count Dracula. Growing up a vampire had him crave the outside world, to be normal. Most of his childhood was spent with his friend, Robin, and his sister, Chloe, trying to cure his vampirism. After many failed attempts, Vlad accepted his fate as the Chosen One and lives far away from Stokely now after wiping Robin’s memory and ensuring his safety.
Vlad has stayed clean his entire life and drinks soya blood instead of real blood. Taken from the events of mid-season 4, Vlad’s plans to have vampires and breathers/slayers coexisting peacefully is tying to be foiled by both his father and a High Court member, Ramanga. Vlad is compassionate to those be meets and tries his best to ensure peace among all.

Vlad was exhausted.
He had an upcoming betrothal that he did not want to be part of, and Erin, his girlfriend, was extremely jealous and upset. Being set up with Ramanga’s daughter was another obstacle in his way to signing of his peaceful coexistence between vampires and humans; that is with two entire councils glaring down their noses at him. He was being mocked left right and centre for simply wanting peace in the world.
His sister was plotting, his girlfriend was upset, his plans weren’t working, he was being married to someone he didn’t even like, but he was meant to act fine and follow everyone’s wishes?
He needed a break. And he knew a person. You.
It was just for an hour or less. Just a break, with someone he knew was a refreshing person to be around.
