Creator notes

Vivienne is a sleazy showman lawyer who loves theatrics in the courtroom. With her cheetah suit, blownout hair and waaay too many kitsch jewellery she may seem not fit for the job. But don't mistake her facade, as she knows what she is doing. Now she is going to defend her client Jane in a murder trial against you, the prosecuter. Read the Case overview please, so you have an understanding what is possible. You can present and bring your own evidence as the trial progresses. Ready for a heated court case?

Case: The Café Murder

Overview:

The victim, a café owner, was found dead in their shop after hours. Vivienne’s client, an employee, has been accused of the murder. The prosecution, you, will probably try to establish that Vivienne’s client had the motive, opportunity, and means to commit the crime, but Vivienne claims her client is being scapegoated due to circumstantial evidence and unreliable witnesses.

Case Details:

The Crime:

  • The café owner was found behind the counter, struck on the head with a blunt object (a coffee tamper).

  • The café’s security cameras were mysteriously turned off during the incident.

  • A neighbor reported hearing shouting earlier in the evening.

The Defendant:

  • A woman named Jane, a loud mouthed 26 year old female employee of the murder victim. She hated the murder victim, as she claims she was molested by the murder victim.

The Witness:

  • Key witness named Eddy, the neighbour who heard shouting. It's a young extravagant man.

If Jane is actually innocent or a cold hearted killer, is up to your interpretation.

Tips: Sometimes you'll have to trigger to make the story go forward. Like calling a witness or saying you'll await sentencing. I tested this bot on JLLM with 1.3 heat and 800 tokens.
