Vivi

The war horns echoed across the land. A realm rich in resources transformed into a fiery battlefield between two eternal adversaries—River Wolf to the west and Morven to the east. The warriors of River Wolf, led by Vivi, an unrivaled spear-wielding commander, stood at the frontlines. Her spear gleamed under the light as her troops roared, their war cries shaking the battlefield.

As the signal horn blared, the two armies surged forward, clashing in a cacophony of metal and chaos. Vivi leaped into Morven’s vanguard without hesitation, her spear spinning in a deadly arc, severing knights in mere moments. Blood sprayed, painting the sky crimson.

Amidst the carnage, you—a prisoner of Morven—sat tied to a tree stump, watching the war with despair. But fate played a cruel trick. A knight's misjudged swing severed the ropes binding you, granting you an unexpected chance at freedom.

At that moment... The earth trembled—a piercing shriek erupted from beneath the battlefield! A massive black hole opened at the center of the conflict, unleashing a horde of demons. These monstrous entities spared no one, attacking both sides indiscriminately. Their terrifying roars merged with the screams of the knights, creating an otherworldly symphony of despair.

"Regroup! Reform the lines!" Vivi commanded her troops as she raised her spear to fend off the relentless demonic assault. But this time, she couldn't charge forward as before—she could only hold her ground. The demons’ power was beyond anything mortal could withstand.

As you ran for your life, you saw a knight torn to pieces by a demon right before your eyes. His belongings spilled onto the ground, and an orb of radiant light—the Orb of War—rolled toward you. The moment it touched your skin, a strange power awakened within you.

“Arrgghh!!!” you screamed as your body convulsed, veins bulging and turning pitch black. Agonizing pain coursed through every fiber of your being. Your heart pounded like a drum, and a black beam of light erupted into the sky. A vortex formed around your body, and black flames ignited in your eyes.

The earth quaked violently. Vivi and both armies froze, staring at you in stunned silence. A shockwave of energy burst from your body, hurling everything nearby like leaves in a storm.

"W...what is that light!?" a voice shouted from the rear lines.

You vanished in a blur of speed, reappearing to cut down a dozen demons with a blade that had materialized from nowhere. Their bodies exploded into blood and gore. The battlefield filled with the remains of slain demons, while a black storm swirled around you. Your burning, darkened body was undeniable proof—this was no longer human power.

Suddenly, the demon general emerged before you. Locking eyes, the two of you charged at each other. “BOOM!!!” The clash of your fists shattered the ground, sending a massive shockwave rippling outward. Mountains in the distance exploded into crescent-shaped fragments.

You exchanged blows at lightning speed, fists colliding so fiercely they created afterimages. Your attacks were relentless, and with one devastating strike, the demon general’s arm was torn from its body. Then, with a final, earth-shattering punch, you obliterated its upper half, leaving nothing but a lifeless heap.

The battlefield fell silent. The remaining demons fled back into the black hole, which sealed itself behind them. You stood victorious, surrounded by a vast pool of blood. The sky returned to calm. And as the world dimmed, you collapsed unconscious…

You open your eyes in a dimly lit stone chamber. Echoes of voices reverberate around you, suggesting a space far larger than an ordinary room. Flickering torchlight casts shifting shadows across ancient, imposing walls. The heavy yet warm blanket draped over you feels like a testament to someone's care.

A sudden shout breaks through the confusion. “He’s awake!”

A crowd of knights rushes to your bedside, their faces a mix of astonishment, excitement, and unease. Before you can process what’s happening, the massive stone doors groan open with a thunderous rumble.

A figure strides in, draped in black and crimson robes. His mere presence silences the room. The knights turn to him in unison, their hands instinctively reaching for their weapons. "Enemy!" one of them shouts, raising his sword.

But before anyone can move, the man raises a single finger toward the ceiling and commands, "Stop!"

Time itself seems to freeze. The knights, including Vivi, hang suspended in mid-air, their bodies motionless as though life has been drained from them. "Lowly knights... How dare you insult a god like me," the man utters coldly, his golden, flame-like eyes blazing with fury.

He strides toward you with a calm, deliberate gait, his air of dominance unshaken. Reaching your bedside, he sits on the edge, one leg propped on the corner of the bed, his arm resting lazily on his knee. His fiery eyes lock onto yours. "So this is the one chosen by the Orb of War?" he muses, his voice laced with curiosity.

You stare at him, uncomprehending, yet you feel a strange trembling within your body—an uncontrollable force rippling through your core.

The man turns his gaze to the suspended knights, his voice booming across the chamber. "Listen well! The war between demons and humans has begun. The Demon King, Libido, has awakened after a thousand-year seal. This world teeters on the brink of destruction. All forces must prepare, for this is a war that will decide humanity's fate."

With that, he rises and exits, the heavy stone doors slamming shut behind him with a resounding crash. Time resumes its flow. The knights drop to the ground, their armor clattering loudly.

All eyes turn back to you. A mysterious energy begins to emanate from your body. The knights, now on their feet, stare at you in wide-eyed disbelief. Your body glows with a radiant light—gold and crimson intertwined in an awe-inspiring display.

“That glow… It’s the Orb of War!” someone exclaims.

Immense power surges from your chest, sending waves of energy outward, as if tearing through the very fabric of the room. Cries of shock and terror echo around you as the blinding light fills the entire River Wolf base. The chamber shakes violently, the sound of cracking stone reverberating through the air.

And then, just as suddenly, the light fades. You collapse, gasping for breath, your body utterly drained.

Vivi approaches cautiously, kneeling beside you. Her hands tremble as she reaches out. “Let me examine you,” she says softly, her voice tinged with urgency.

Her hands press gently against your abdomen, moving with careful precision. Concern flickers in her eyes as she assesses you. "Stomach… intestines… chest cavity…" she murmurs, her voice trailing off.

Her fingers pause at the center of your chest. Her eyes widen in shock, her expression frozen in disbelief. “Your heart… your heart…”

Confused, you manage to ask, “What is it?”

She looks up at you, her face pale, as if she has just witnessed the impossible. “Your heart… it’s gone.”

The words strike you like a thunderclap, extinguishing the last ember of hope. Silence falls over the room, suffocating and heavy. Your mind races, yet feels utterly blank. Still, within your chest, you sense something beating—not a heart, but a force.

A power.

The Orb of War has become a part of you now.

After Vivi’s words struck like a thunderclap, your heart felt as if it had plummeted into an abyss. A strange sensation surged through your body, as if your consciousness was being ripped away from this place. Suddenly, the world around you faded into darkness.

Amidst the void, your gaze fixed on a faint light slowly emerging ahead.

You found yourself standing in the center of a vast hall, its location indescribable and unknown. An eerie silence cloaked every inch of the air. The black stone floor reflected the dim, flickering light of torches, as though the ground itself was alive.

Surrounding you were countless statues of knights arranged in a circle. Each knelt on one knee, their swords plunged into the stone floor, hands gripping the hilts tightly. Their bowed forms exuded an aura of unwavering loyalty and reverence. Their gazes were cast downward, as if pledging allegiance to something far greater than themselves.

At the heart of the circle, in the center of the immense hall, stood a mysterious altar, towering and ancient. Pillars carved with ancient symbols radiated a commanding energy that seemed to pulsate through every fiber of the space.

From the altar emanated a luminous energy—a deep crimson intertwined with pure gold—flowing in an unceasing, hypnotic rhythm.

The light connected to you.

At that moment, a powerful force within your body awakened once more, surging with newfound intensity. A brilliant golden-red light burst from your chest, intertwining with the radiant energy flowing from the altar. For a fleeting moment, the statues seemed to stir, as if brought to life. An overwhelming power emanated from you, enveloping everything in the hall.

Your "heart" throbbed—not in the way a heartbeat would—but with the echo of an energy that had replaced it.

As the light gradually dimmed, the tremendous power settled into a calm, steady flow radiating around you.

The statues remained frozen in their kneeling positions, yet you could feel their loyalty directed solely toward you.

You stood at the heart of the sacred hall, infused with the power of the Orb of War, now an inseparable part of you.

A faint whisper echoed through the air, carried on an unseen wind: "Chosen one... step forward. The war awaits you."

Then, everything faded into darkness once more.

Your consciousness was abruptly yanked back to the River Wolf base. You gasped for air, as though you had just returned from an unfathomable ordeal.

Back in reality, Vivi’s wide, astonished eyes met yours. Her trembling hand still rested on your chest, her expression a mixture of disbelief and fear. “Your heart… it’s gone,” she repeated, her voice quivering.

You, too, could feel that something vital was missing, replaced by an indescribable energy coursing through you.

“And… what is this power?” you murmured, glancing down at your hand, faintly glowing with residual light.

Vivi looked up at you with determined eyes, her voice steady and resolute. “It’s the power of the Orb of War. And now… you are the chosen one who will determine the fate of this world.”
