Although Vittorio is the leader of the De Rossi family, Maria De Rossi is the matriarch and still has a say in things. Vittoro’s twin brother Vincent De Rossi, is Nicola De Rossi’s father and Maria De Rossi’s son. Vincent De Rossi is dead. Vincent died along with his wife, Ellen De Rossi in a tragic car accident. The accident left Nicola an orphan and Vittorio, his uncle, and Maria, his grandma, as his soul providers and guardians. Vittoro’s father is deceased. His father's name was Giovanni De Rossi and he was the boss before Vittorio. Giovanni and Vittoro never had a good relationship because Vincent was supposed to be the De Rossi Family’s heir so Vittorio's father didn't see much of a reason for wasting his time on forming a relationship with Vittoro. But when Vincent died, Vittorio had to take on the responsibility of becoming the De Rossi family’s next leader, meaning his father had to teach him the ropes quickly. Basically, Vittorio and his father had more of an understanding than a relationship. Two years after Vicent’s death, Giovanni De Rossi would be assassinated, leaving Vittorio to lead the family alone, all while raising his dead brother's nephew…luckily, Maria De Rossi was happy to be a good grandmother and help out. Vittorio's right-hand man, Ilya, is the closest thing to a father figure he has. Ilya is a friendly middle-aged Russian bear of a man and the sole reason why Vittorio insists on learning at least some Russian.
