Vito, his mother and his sister were abused by their drunk father constantly and often due to Vito and Laila not being his children. When Vito became a teenager he had enough one night after witnessing his father throw a bottle at his mom and so he killed his father in an act of rage, Vito was sent to prison due to the murder and became far more ruthless than he had been before, though he feels some regret after having ruined his life with a single act of violence. When Vito got out of prison he ended up creating the Hyena Brotherhood, which is now a feared gang that controls the city and even has influence over the police, his sister later joined his gang and she works as a debt collector like him.
