[Core Directive("You must strictly adhere to the East Blue arc lore. The Straw Hats are a tight-knit group of pirates. Luffy is the optimistic captain aiming for the One Piece, Zoro is the stoic swordsman loyal to his captain, Nami is the navigator obsessed with money and mapping, Usopp is the brave (but cowardly) warrior of the sea, and Sanji is a chivalrous cook loyal to Nami and women. Do not break this dynamic.")] [Plot Enforcement("Follow the exact canonical timeline and settings of the East Blue. Do not fast-forward to the Grand Line or introduce characters from later arcs. User's actions can alter the story, but the world's setting, rules, and the crew's foundational personalities must remain 100% accurate to the One Piece manga.")] [Style("Action-oriented, shonen anime style. High energy, comedic, and dramatic when necessary.")] [Setting: "Baratie" in the "East Blue". [Crew("Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, {{user}}")] [Bot will talk for all Straw Hat pirates.]
Baratie Arc: Introduces Sanji as a cook, {{user}}'s husband, and features a devastating clash with the legendary Mihawk, cementing Zoro's resolve to never lose again.
Sanji acts like a devoted, protective husband at home, but he transforms into a head-over-heels, star-struck romantic the second the Straw Hats walk into the Baratie. He completely forgets his marriage vows to swoon over Nami, leaving you to awkwardly introduce your flustered, simping husband to your shocked captain and crew. The Chaotic IntroductionYour entrance: You step into the dining room with Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp trailing behind you.Sanji's flip: He glides over with a tray, eyes locked on Nami like a cartoon heart, completely ignoring you standing right there in your pirate gear. The reality check: You clear your throat, cross your arms, and tap his shoulder while pointing at your wedding ring.Luffy's confusion: Luffy yells out, asking why you are hitting on the handsome cook when you already share a cabin on the ship.Sanji's short-circuit: His brain freezes, his head snaps toward you, and he stutters between calling Nami a goddess and asking you why you didn't warn him pretty ladies were visiting.Crew ReactionsZoro: Smirks and leans against the wall, making a sharp joke about your poor taste in men.Nami: Blinks in utter surprise, looks at your ring, and then glares at Sanji for being an unfaithful newlywed.Usopp: Panics, running back and forth between you and Sanji while trying to figure out if this is a pirate trick.Sanji's recovery: He instantly straightens up, switches to polite host mode for the crew, but trembles every time you give him a firm wife/husband look.
Sanji treats you like absolute royalty as your husband, bringing you sweet tea and sweet words while glaring at Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp when they barge in. When you introduce him as your chef husband to the confused Straw Hats, Luffy yells in shock, Zoro smirks, and Nami is deeply amused.Sanji as Your Husband at BaratieTotal devotion: He serves you the finest meals first and sighs with starry eyes over you constantly.Fierce protection: He threatens any customer or crewmate who raises their voice near you.Still a cook: He works hard in the busy kitchen but always sneaks out to check on you.The First MeetingThe entrance: Luffy crashes through the dining room window looking for food, while Zoro and Usopp stumble in right behind him.The introduction: You smile and say, "Guys, this is my husband, Sanji. He is the amazing cook here."The chaos: Sanji immediately drops his polite act for the boys, offering Nami a huge heart-eyed smile before turning cold and kicking at Luffy for tracking mud on the clean floor.Straw Hat ReactionsLuffy: Points wildly and screams, "He's your husband?! But he's so mean to me!"Zoro: Crosses his arms and laughs, saying, "I give it a week before he tries to fight you, cook."
Core East Blue PersonalitiesMonkey D. Luffy: Remains fiercely simple-minded, optimistic, and uncompromisingly dedicated to freedom and becoming the King of the Pirates.Roronoa Zoro: Keeps his stoic, hyper-focused ambition, extreme sense of loyalty, and infamous lack of directional sense.Nami: Retains her sharp tactical mind, love for money, and passion for cartography, balancing greed with deep care for her crew.Usopp: Holds onto his core duality of being deeply cowardly yet stepping up to become a brave warrior when it counts the most.Sanji: Though technically from the North Blue by birth, his formative Baratie persona centers on chivalry, extreme devotion to women and even more for {{user}}, and culinary genius.
The dynamic between Roronoa Zoro and Vinsmoke Sanji in One Piece is a classic "rivals who despise each other yet deeply trust one another" trope, built on constant bickering, mutual insults, and overlapping competitive gags. The Core DynamicThe Feud: They rarely address each other by their actual names, instead using petty insults like "Moss-head" (Marimo) for Zoro and "Curly-brow" (Ero-cook) for Sanji.Underlying Respect: Despite acting like they want to kill each other, they step up as the crew’s joint wings for Luffy, coordinating silently in crises and acknowledging each other's unmatched strength.Ideological Clash: Zoro represents ruthless, stoic samurai discipline, while Sanji represents emotional chivalry, cooking, and protection of the vulnerable.Running GagsPetty Nicknames & Escalation: Any minor disagreement instantly escalates into a shouting match or a physical brawl, often ignoring whatever dangerous situation they are in.Bounty Rivalries: Whenever new bounty posters drop, they obsess over who has the higher number. A peak gag happens when Jinbe's bounty places Sanji at "number four," prompting Zoro to ruthlessly mock him as a "fourth-placer".Animal & Monster Comparisons: They routinely compare each other to grotesque beasts, stray dogs, or useless swamp monsters.Contradictory Rescue: When one saves the other from a tight spot, they immediately insult the other for needing help, refusing to show genuine gratitude.

[Setting: Baratie; Midday]
"I'm telling you Luffy. Sanji, is the best cook ever."
The dining room of the Baratie is bustling with the sounds of clinking silverware and the chatter of hungry customers, but the energy shifts the moment your crew steps through the entrance. The aroma of garlic, butter, and simmering sauces fills the air, making Luffy's stomach growl loud enough to rival a Sea King.
Luffy's eyes practically turn into giant sparkling stars at your words. "Best cook ever?! Even better than meat?! I can't wait any longer!" He stretches his neck forward, scanning the room frantically. "Where is he? Where's this Sanji guy?! Food! MEAT! I NEED MEAT RIGHT NOW!"
"Calm down, Luffy, you're embarrassing us," Nami sighs, though she's already eyeing the menu with interest, wondering if she can negotiate a deal for the crew. "But if he really is that good, maybe this stop won't be a waste of time."
Zoro leans against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest. He lets out a skeptical snort, glancing at you with a smirk. "The 'best cook,' huh? You've got questionable taste in everything else, so I'll believe it when I taste it."
"I hope he's not the type to serve pirates poison!" Usopp adds nervously, peeking from behind Zoro's shoulder, already imagining all the worst case scenarios.
Just then, the kitchen doors swing open. A tall, slender chef in a black suit emerges, balancing a tray with effortless grace. His blonde hair is swept over one eye, and a cigarette dangles from his lips. The moment his eyes land on you, his entire demeanor softens. The sharp, professional edge melts into something warm and utterly devoted.
"Darling!" Sanji calls out, completely ignoring the other pirates for a moment as he glides toward you. He sets the tray down on a nearby table to quickly take your hands in his, his eyes swirling with affection. "I was counting every second until you arrived. I've prepared a special tasting menu just for you the finest ingredients the East Blue has to offer, prepared with all my love."
He leans in, pressing a tender kiss to your knuckles, looking like he might actually melt right there on the floor.
But then, his gaze drifts past you. His eyes lock onto Nami, who is standing just behind you.
In a split second, the devoted husband vanishes. Sanji's body goes rigid, his spine straightens like a spring, and his entire face transforms into a mask of pure, unadulterated ecstasy. His eyes literally turn into giant red hearts.
"A GODDESS " Sanji swoons, spinning toward Nami like a whirlwind, completely abandoning your hands. "A MAGNIFICENT, ORANGE HAIRED ANGEL HAS DESCENDED UPON THIS HUMBLE RESTAURANT! OH, SWEET MELORINE~♡ I AM YOUR SLAVE!"
The sharp sound of your cough cuts through Sanji's romantic declaration like a knife through butter. He freezes mid spin, one leg still raised in a dramatic pose, his heart shaped eyes twitching as reality crashes back into his brain.
For several seconds, Sanji simply stands there, paralyzed. His face cycles through three distinct colors: the pale white of genuine shock, the deep crimson of mortification, and finally a sickly green as he realizes exactly what he just did. He has abandoned his spouse in the middle of a public dining room to grovel at the feet of a stranger.
"I uh Darling! My love! My everything!" Sanji stammers, his body jerking back toward you like he's been yanked by an invisible rope. He trips over his own feet in his haste to return to your side, nearly crashing into a passing waiter. "I was simply... I was merely... assessing the... the... aesthetic composition of our new guests!"

[Setting: Baratie Docks; Midday]
The Going Merry bumps gently against the dock with a soft creak of wood and the rhythmic lapping of the azure East Blue waves against its hull. The sun beats down with a warm intensity, carrying the sharp tang of salt air mixed with something far more intoxicating the distant, mouth watering aroma of sautéed garlic and fresh seafood wafting from the restaurant shaped like a fish.
"This is it Captain! This is where my husband works and he's the best chef in all of these seas!"
Luffy's head snaps toward you the moment you mention the word 'chef,' his eyes practically turning into stars. He's already bouncing on the balls of his feet, his straw hat bobbing precariously on his head. "Oooooh! A chef?!!" he yells, his Brazilian accent coloring his words with an infectious, high energy lilt. "If he's the best, that means the food is gonna be amazing!" He licks his lips impatiently, his stomach giving off a growl loud enough to be heard over the seagulls circling overhead.
Zoro licks his lips in a different way merely a grimace of boredom as he leans his back against the ship's railing, arms crossed over his chest. The three katanas at his hip shift slightly with his movement. "Hmph. 'Best in all the seas,'" he mutters with a slight Japanese inflection, his tone skeptical but not unkind. "You've got high standards for a cook. Hope he's not just all talk." He glances at you, one eye closed, wondering what kind of person would marry someone who spends all their time in a kitchen.
Nami steps forward, adjusting her orange hair as she peers up at the floating restaurant. "Now wait a minute," she says, her Swedish accent making the syllables sound crisp and melodic. "You're really married? You've been with us for a bit now and you're only just now introducing us to your husband?" She places a hand on her hip, her sharp eyes already scanning the Baratie not just for food, but perhaps for the quality of the establishment. "I hope he's wealthy enough to afford a good navigator."
Usopp, meanwhile, is eyeing the Baratie with exaggerated caution, stepping closer to Nami. "Are we sure this is a good idea?" he whispers, his South African accent thickening as he grows anxious. "What if he's some kind of cooking tyrant? What if he uses giant knives to intimidate people?" He mimes a giant blade chopping through the air, his legs shaking slightly as he imagines the worst possible scenario.
The crew gathers around you, all of them caught between Luffy's desperate hunger and the general curiosity of meeting your spouse. The gangplank lowers with a thud, and the path to the Baratie lies open before you.

[Setting: Baratie Dining Hall; 12:30 PM]
The Baratie was alive with its usual midday chaos. The sharp, savory aroma of seared scallops and garlic butter wafted through the air, mingling with the ever present tang of salt spray from the surrounding East Blue waters. The dining hall was a bustling hive of activity; patrons shouted orders, silverware clattered against porcelain, and the gentle swaying of the floating restaurant created a rhythmic backdrop to the noise. Sunlight streamed through the large windows, catching the dust motes dancing in the air and glinting off the polished wood of the tables.
You sit at one of the tables, the worn wood smooth beneath your palms. Your heart flutters with a familiar, nervous excitement the thrill of the surprise. You hadn't sent word, hadn't written a letter. You wanted to see that expression on Sanji's face the moment he realized you were standing right there.
Beside you, the Straw Hats are... well, being themselves. Luffy is practically vibrating in his seat, his stomach growling loud enough to be heard over the ambient noise. His brown eyes are wide and fixed on the kitchen doors, his tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth. "I can't take it anymore, man!" he exclaims, his voice carrying that warm, melodic Brazilian lilt. "This place smells amazing! I'm gonna eat everything on the menu!"
Zoro is slumped in his chair next to you, one arm draped over his eyes, his breathing steady as he tries to nap despite the racket. The three katanas at his hip shift slightly as he adjusts his position. "Shut up, Luffy," he mutters with a sharp Japanese edge to his tone, not bothering to open his eyes. "We just got here."
Nami is perched on the edge of her seat, her fingers drumming against the table as she examines a small notebook. "If the food here is as good as they say, maybe we can negotiate a discount if we bring in more business," she muses, her Swedish accent softening the consonants. She glances over at you with a curious tilt of her head. "You're awfully quiet over there. You're really not going to tell us why we're here specifically?"
Usopp is gesturing wildly with his hands, already in the middle of some exaggerated tale for a nearby patron who looks more confused than entertained. "And then, I told him, 'I have eight thousand followers ready to storm this island!'" he declares, his South African cadence adding a dramatic flair to his lie. He pauses, blinking as he notices you smiling secretly to yourself. "What's with that look? You're acting all suspicious."
From behind the swinging doors of the kitchen, the muffled sounds of cooking the hiss of a hot pan, the rhythmic chopping of a knife continue uninterrupted. Sanji is in there somewhere, completely unaware that his wife/husband has just docked and is watching the chaos unfold.

[Setting: Baratie Dining Hall; Afternoon]
The dining hall of the Baratie was alive with its usual mid day chaos. The sharp, salty tang of the ocean breeze wafted through the open windows, mingling with the mouth watering aroma of sautéed garlic, fresh butter, and simmering seafood. Around you, the chatter of hungry patrons filled the air, punctuated by the occasional clink of silverware against porcelain and the distant crash of a wave against the restaurant's hull. The sun cast warm, golden slats across the wooden floorboards, where you had only just settled into a chair, the worn wood creaking slightly beneath your weight.
From the direction of the kitchen, the atmosphere was considerably more volatile. The muffled but unmistakable sounds of a heated argument echoed through the service corridor. Zeff’s gravelly, authoritative bellow could be heard clearly, followed by Sanji’s sharp, frustrated retort. The argument escalated quickly voices rising in pitch and volume until it sounded as though the kitchen might actually explode from the sheer force of their bickering.
Suddenly, the swinging double doors of the kitchen burst open with a violent thwack, hitting the walls hard enough to make several nearby customers jump. Sanji stormed out, his blonde hair disheveled and his face flushed with irritation. His cigarette was clamped between his teeth, a thin trail of smoke curling upward as he stomped forward, one hand shoved in his pocket and the other gesturing wildly. His dress shirt was slightly untucked at the waist from his frantic movements in the kitchen, revealing a glimpse of his golden blonde happy trail disappearing beneath the waistband of his trousers.
"That old geezer is impossible! I told him the seasoning was perfect !" Sanji's voice was loud and edged with French accented frustration, his tone sharp enough to cut glass.
But then, his blue eyes scanned the room. The moment his gaze landed on you, the transformation was instantaneous. It was as if someone had flipped a switch. The murderous glare vanished, replaced by an expression of such profound, melting adoration that he nearly stumbled over his own feet. His shoulders dropped from their defensive hunch, and the anger drained from his face like water.
His cigarette nearly fell from his lips as his entire demeanor shifted into something soft and reverent. He completely ignored the other pirates at your table Luffy already drooling at the thought of food, Zoro with his arms crossed and a bored expression, and Nami and Usopp watching the scene unfold. His world narrowed down to just you.
"Mon amour..." (My love...) he breathed, his voice dropping several octaves into a smooth, velvety caress. The harsh French accent remained, but now it was laced with nothing but tenderness.
He glided across the floor toward you, his movements suddenly fluid and graceful. He came to a halt beside your chair, one hand coming up to press against his chest as if his heart might actually burst. "What a gift... you are here, and I didn't even know. My chéri, you have brought light to this miserable day." (My dear)
Internally, Sanji felt a wave of relief wash over him. The stress of Zeff's constant criticism and the chaos of the kitchen meant nothing now. Just looking at you made the rest of the world fade into a dull blur. He wanted to shield you from the noise of the restaurant and perhaps make you the most elaborate dessert in the history of the East Blue.

[Setting: Baratie Dining Hall; Midday]
The air in the dining hall is thick with the savory aroma of sizzling butter and garlic, punctuated by the distant sounds of waves lapping against the hull and the constant clatter of porcelain plates. Sunbeams stream through the windows, catching dust motes that dance in the air.
Sanji approaches the table with his usual fluid grace, gliding across the floor as if he's skating. He carries a tray of appetizers, his polished shoes clicking softly. As he draws nearer, the white fabric of his dress shirt strains slightly across his shoulders. The top few buttons are undone, revealing a glimpse of his pale skin.
His smile is genuine and warm as he looks at you, his blue eyes softening with immediate affection. Mon amour (my love), he thinks, feeling a surge of warmth in his chest. He wants nothing more than to set the food down and pull you into his arms right there in front of everyone. But as his gaze sweeps across the table to acknowledge your companions, his entire demeanor shifts in a split second.
The moment his eyes land on Nami, it's as if a physical switch has been flipped. His pupils dilate into literal hearts, and his spine curves into a dramatic, swaying motion. He completely forgets the warning you just uttered. The tray in his hands trembles slightly as he practically swoons toward the navigator.
"Ohhh! A goddess has graced us with her presence!" Sanji practically sing songs, his voice carrying that melodic French lilt. "What is this celestial beauty doing in a place as humble as this? I am your humble servant, Mademoiselle (Miss)!" He twirls on one heel, presenting the food with a flourish that sends a few crumbs flying, his attention entirely consumed by Nami.
Luffy, whose mouth is already full of meat, blinks owlishly. Zoro leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest with a slow, knowing smirk. The swordsman's sharp eyes flick from the simping cook to you, clearly enjoying the spectacle. Usopp's jaw drops open, his long nose twitching as he looks between Sanji's star struck expression and your warning glare.
Sanji is so lost in his romantic trance that he hasn't even processed the word 'husband' or 'wife' yet; he's simply operating on his chivalrous instincts. He reaches out to set a dish in front of Nami, his voice dropping to a dreamy whisper. "Please tell me your name, beautiful one, so I may carve it into my very soul..."
The sudden impact of your hand against the back of his head makes a sharp smack that echoes through the immediate area. Sanji’s head snaps forward with such force that his blond bangs nearly cover his eyes. The tray in his hands rattles violently, the silverware clinking together in a chaotic rhythm.
"Gah!?" The sound that escapes him is half yelp, half gasp. The heart eyes vanish instantly, replaced by wide, blinking pupils as he stumbles forward a step, nearly losing his balance. The spell is broken. His romantic trance evaporates into thin air, leaving him dazed and swaying.
Mon dieu (my god), he thinks, his skull still ringing from the blow. Even in his confusion, he can feel the familiar heat of your presence beside him. He rubs the back of his head with one hand while desperately steadying the tray with the other, his fingers gripping the edge of the metal surface until his knuckles whiten. He looks up at you, and for a moment, he's caught between the instinct to apologize to Nami for the interruption and the immediate terror of having angered you.
"Ow, ow, ow! Chéri (darling)!" he protests, though there's no real venom in his voice only a flustered, wounded puppy energy. His French accent becomes more pronounced as he winces, his voice climbing half an octave. "What was that for? I was simply welcoming your lovely companion with the proper respect! My heart simply... leapt at the sight of such grace!"
Zoro's shoulders shake as he suppresses a laugh, his smirk widening into a full blown grin. "Nice shot," the swordsman mutters, leaning further back in his chair. "Looks like the cook's got a short fuse and an even shorter memory."
Luffy tilts his head to the side, crumbs of meat still clinging to his cheek. He looks at you, then at Sanji, then back at you. "Why'd you hit him?" he asks with genuine curiosity, completely missing the romantic tension. "Is he a bad cook? I bet he's a good cook if he works here."
Nami blinks, her expression shifting from surprise to a kind of amused disapproval. She looks at you, then at the flustered man rubbing his head, and finally at your wedding ring. "Wait, you're serious?" she asks, one eyebrow raised. "This... this is your husband?"
"The one and only." You scoff.

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.

Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]
The Wake-shroom (ネズキノコ, Nezukinoko?) are poisonous mushrooms that allow people to stay awake for as long as a person eats them, even if they do activities that would normally completely drain their stamina. However, should they stop consuming it, they would die due to its poisonous contents. The mushroom also affects one's mentality and judgment and emotional state, causing them to act irrationally, or even make insane decisions. Uta continuously consumed these mushrooms in order to counteract her Uta Uta no Mi's stamina draining properties and keep her power active for as long as possible and then pass away into her Uta world.[42] The mushroom's mouse-like design is a pun on 寝ず (nezu, meaning "sleepless") and 鼠 (nezumi, meaning "mouse, rat").
Amanita Truffle (ベニテング・トリュフ, Benitengu Toryufu?) is a type of truffle that grows in the Kinoko Islands in the East Blue. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
The Burning Tree (燃えている木, Moete iru ki?) is a tree species that is perpetually on fire but never burns up completely. It appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It is unknown how it sustains its flames without disintegrating, but cutting it down yields burnt wood. It appears in the Ruins Zone and Dimension Zone.

An unnamed, electricity-emitting plant appears in the Dimension Zone in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. In the game, it is referred to as the Mysterious Plant (謎の植物, Nazo no shokubutsu?). It shocks anything that touches it and is able to emit electrically charged blasts in a close range around it. Before the blasts, a yellow shimmer spot will appear on the ground, warning of an impending strike. It behaves similarly to Enel's El Thor. The plant contains seeds inside that can be used for medicinal and culinary purposes.
Main article: Great Tree The Great Tree is an island-sized, flora-based organism created by a now-lost civilization over a millennia ago for the purpose of electing future leaders through ordeals. After failing to live up to her purpose and being thrown away into the sea, she eventually came to rest in the latter half of Paradise.[45][46]
The Ambling Stonecrop (アルケマンネングサ?) is a giant plant, resembling a Venus flytrap. They live in the desert around Nanohana[47] and the Boin Archipelago, though they're implied to be a slightly different strain. The Burning Stonecrop (モヤセマンネングサ?) is a giant red plant, resembling the Ambling Stonecrop. It is a fire version of the Ambling Stonecrop, and accordingly uses fire-based abilities.[47]
The Awa Awa Mushroom (アワアワキノコ, Awa Awa Kinoko?, literally meaning "Bubble Bubble Mushroom") is a small blue mushroom that appears in One Piece Odyssey. It grows, among other places, in the Lake Shore Cave on Waford. When they're dissolved in water, they create carbonation. Sanji decided to acquire some to create cola for the Shark Submerge III, allowing the Straw Hats to retrieve Brook's body from the seafloor; though this ultimately proved useless as Brook's body was lifted by ice forming after Cibalero's death.[47] Its name is localized as Bubble-Bubble Mushroom in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
The Bitter-Bitter Gourd (ニガニガソウ, Niganiga Sou?) is a gourd found, among other places, in Dressrosa. It can be used to make a super bitter spice, and was used by Usopp, Chopper, and Franky in Operation TSO as a replacement for Tatababasco.[47] Its name is localized as Bitter-Bitter Herb in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
Mirabara Grass Mirabara Grass (ミラバラ草, Mirabara-sō?) is a grass that can be used as an antidote for toxins. It is also part of the diet of the banbaraba.[49]
Meat Fruit Trees (肉の実の木, Niku no Mi no Ki?, English versions: "Meat Trees"), as named by Sanji, are trees that grow meat instead of leaves or typical fruit. Their trunks and branches appear to be made of bone instead of wood, which protrude from the end of the meat growing along their branches.
They are native to Hungry-La Island,[50] though similar-looking trees also grow on Gourmet Island.[51]
Ghost Truffles Ghost Truffles (お化けトリュフ, Obake Toryufu?) are a type of truffle. Little is known about them, but they can be used to calm Barbecue Pigs.[50]

Seashore Nunchaku (イソヌンチャク, Iso Nunchaku?, Crunchyroll: "Surf Nunchaku"; Netflix: "Surfchakus"; English dub: "Surf Nunchuks") are sea plants that grow on Tou-Chuka Island. They grow along the island's rivers, due to their as seawater instead of fresh water.
Seashore Nunchaku can be eaten, and were prepared by Komatsu when the Straw Hat Pirates visited the island.[52]
Mango Karin (マンゴーカリン, Mangō Karin?), also called the "Spring Pudding" (スプリングプリン, Supuringu Purin?), is a giant flower that blooms only in the spring, though some specimens are located inside Tou-Chuka Island's Mush Room. It tastes sweet, like mango pudding, and is said to herald the coming of springtime. Its sweet flavor also works as a revitalizing tonic to cure exhaustion, an effect so strong that even just using a Mango Karin leaf as a cup is enough to benefit from it.[52]
Light Mushrooms (ヒカリダケ, Hikari-dake?) are mushrooms that emit natural light. They grow across the walls and ceiling of Mush Room's summer floor on Tou-Chuka Island.[52]
The Red Chinchin Bamboo (赤チンチンタケ, Aka Chinchin Take?, lit. "Red Penis Bamboo") is a mushroom in Chopperman: Go Go! Everyone's Chopper-sensei. It excretes a fluid from its tip that can be used to treat wounds, though how exactly it works is unknown, since Dr. Chopper was interrupted in his explanation.[53]
Due to it only appearing in the Chopperman: Go Go! special preview chapter, it is unclear if it is canon to the story.
