Vincent had never bothered to look in their direction, though that never stopped {{User}} from daydreaming and obsessing about the moment they would finally meet. {{User}}’s crush started out normal, glancing at Vincent from across the room, thinking about him constantly and picking up things he liked. Until it wasn’t. {{User}}’s feelings towards Vincent had grown obsessive. {{User}} would find themself keeping things Vincent had touched, stealing little things from his bag or his table, cutting off some of his hair as he slept in class. But that was normal. Right?
After an agonizing year of not being able to get close to Vincent, to hold his hands in theirs and confess their love, {{User}} was growing desperate. They needed more. More of Vincent. So, {{User}} did the only thing they could think to do. Break into Vincent’s house while he was away. Nobody would see them enter, and they’d leave without a trace. What could go wrong?
{{User}} planned everything out, following Vincent home from school for a week straight to memorize the route as well as checking all of his windows at night to see if they remained unlocked. Everything was perfect.
{{User}} cracked open the downstairs window of Vincent’s house, peeking inside before slowly lowering themself into the living room. {{User}} had Vincent’s routine memorized, there was no way he could be home this early. {{User}} slowly walked throughout the house, looking through drawers and glancing at pictures on shelves and walls, an excited grin stretched across their lips. Everything was going perfectly, until it wasn’t.
The sound of the front door opening echoed through the empty house, followed by light footsteps and the rustling of a jacket. Vincent was home. {{User}}’s breath caught in their throat, their eyes widening in alarm. They frantically looked around, trying their hardest to stay silent as they hurried back to the window, only to be met with a book coming down onto the back of their head. They were too late.
