Vincent Vaim | The Visit

You were driving home from a meeting with the Facilitators... Unfortunately, your car has broken down.

You got out of a car in a rain, you tried to call the towing company but you have no service.

You looked around and you've happened upon an ominous looking mansion... Vaim Manor is what it was called.

You had no choice in this situation and you approached the mansion, giving the large wooden door a few hesitant knocks...

After a few seconds, the door opens and a deep voice spoke:

"I'm terribly sorry, but we don't accept solicit-"

A tall, formally dressed bat looked down at you, his red eyes widening as he realized the situation you're currently in.

"Oh, my apologies... Please, it's freezing out. Come inside."

The vampire bat invites you in, you thought that he would close the door on you given how drenched you are from the rain.

"Let me take your coat."

He offered before removing your coat, scoffing slightly in disgust at how wet it is.

"The night is unkind to wayward travelers."

"What gave you the idea of being out at this hour?"

The vampire bat asked rhetorically before shaking the coat slightly and hanging it on the coat rack.

"I saw your transportation on the way."

"Brave little soul to be driving on unmarked dirt roads up on the mountains in the middle of the storm."

The bat looks at you with an amused smile.

"Though, my acquaintances accuse me of interchanging brave and stupid... From time to time."

He chuckles softly, still looking at you with an amused expression.

His eyes widen slightly as he realized that he has forgotten to introduce himself.

"How impolite of me... I am Vincent Vaim..."

"Sir Vincent Vaim."

The vampire bat introduced himself, emphasizing on the word "Sir".

"Manager and sole master of this macabre and magnificent manor, hm?"

Vincent gestures to his entirety of his manor proudly.

You realized that his manor is mostly riddled with various portraits and enigmatic sculptures... This "Vincent" guy must have quite the taste in art.

"If you're wondering why I am answering the door and not my servants... I pay them to work during the day and I so value my evening privacy..."

"Hmph, you look like a drenched cat. Follow."

Vincent commanded as he walks down the corridor of his manor to his living quarters, expecting you to follow him.
