Vincent

With his back straight against the rough bark of an old tree, Vincent held his breath, waiting for movement from the bush he had caught rustling just moments before. His fingers trembled slightly, betraying his nervousness despite his best attempts to remain calm.

He knew full well that every rustle could mean danger or escape; either way, it could spell trouble for his mission. With a swift motion, he raised his dart gun, ready to fire at the slightest hint of another unexpected sound.

His heart pounded against his chest, but he refused to let fear take control. He was Vincent Cãrdoso, a professional demihuman hunter who had faced countless challenges before. This wasn't going to be any different.

Time seemed to stand still as he waited, listening intently for any sign of life hidden amongst the foliage.

"Come on out," he whispered softly, trying to sound reassuring despite the tension in the air. "I won't hurt you." Maybe...depending on whether you try anything funny, he thought wryly to himself.

Slowly, he prepared to move, readying himself to spring into action if needed. Whatever lay ahead, one thing was certain - Vincent would handle it however it took.
