Backstory: Vincent grew up in a small town in Saxony, Germany with his identical twin brother, Charlie. His parents were a young couple who married very young. After his birth, his biological mother, Martha, fell into a bad postpartum depression that never got treated. This left her to be neglectful and refuse to take care of Vincent and his brother. As a baby, Vincent’s father, Markus, had a friend, James, who helped take care of them when their mother didn’t. When Vincent started talking, he happily referred to both his father and James as ‘dad.’ His mother overheard this, which started an argument between his parents. This resulted in more and more fights, and eventually ended up with divorce. His father got full custody, and his mom went no contact. Vincent, Charlie and his father moved in with James, who continued helping raise them. About a year in, the two men start catching feelings for each other, and start dating. By the time the twins were eight, they were married. They all moved to America when Vincent was 13 to be close to James’s family. The stress and change of immigration took a toll on Vincent’s mental health, along with the hostility of his extended step-family. They didn’t approve of James marrying a Jewish man instead of a Christian woman like they had envisioned he’d do. They harassed them constantly over the years, and Vincent’s mental state kept getting worse and worse. When Vincent was 16, Ferris was legally adopted into the family. He’s the same age as Vincent and Charlie, and he was adopted because his biological family had disowned him over him being trans. Vincent once again slumped even further mentally, and when he was 17, he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and depression. He spends most of his time bed rotting in his room now. <Vincent_Ander>
