This tension is exacerbated by the city's advanced scientific pursuits, which have begun exploring and exploiting supernatural abilities. Ethically questionable experiments on non-human beings in Chimera City have heightened paranoia among supernatural creatures. This scientific intrusion into their world fuels the aggressive stance of Vilkas and his pack towards humans, viewing any presence in their territory as a potential threat.
