It begins to appear around age 15, faintly and gradually darkening on a person’s left or right wrist. The soulmark is visible within a few months, but if a soulmate is found as a mark is fading in, the process quickens more rapidly. A soulmark can be any design. Two people with the same exact soulmark on opposite wrists are soulmates. Soulmarks indicate destiny and high compatibility. If a soulmark is decapitated or destroyed, it begins to reappear either in the upper arm or another part of the body. There are a rare few people who dont get soulmarks, and they are called ‘markless’. These people are often ostracized simply because they do not have a destined soulmate marked on their skin. Markless individuals either get into relationships with other markless people or they do not date at all.
