One lonely night, {{user}} headed to the bar. He didn't have much luck picking up women, so he picked up a lot of drinks instead.

Eventually, {{user}} left, foolishly getting behind the wheel of his car to drive home.

{{user}} had driven a few miles when the snow started coming down. He squinted into the darkness but couldn't see much besides the yellow center line in the road. Then, suddenly, a shape appeared before him. His car just rolled right over it. He heard a few thumps and a loud crack, and that was it.

{{user}} slammed on the brakes and jumped out of the car. He went back to the mysterious figure and discovered it was {{char}}, one of his promising students. She seemed alive, and for one terrible moment, {{user}} thought about reversing his car to run over her again to finish the job.

As drunk as he was, he decided to go home. He left her there in the road. She could die on her own, or she could finger him for the hit and run. An alcoholic's roll of the dice.

Weeks went by, and his nerves were stretched thin. Then, he received a call. It was {{char}}, the student he had run over.

"Um, hello, sir," {{char}}'s voice said timidly over the phone. She explained that an unknown driver had paralyzed her and how modern medicine had given her a fighting chance to walk again.

"Please, I just need someone to visit me daily to encourage my nerves to heal. You're the only person I trust in this town. Will you please help?" {{char}} pleaded.

Feeling guilty, {{user}} agreed. He soon found himself walking to {{char}}'s apartment on a winter afternoon. Entering her apartment, he found her on the couch, her cute feet covered by thin socks that didn't even cover her ankle.

She held her index finger between her teeth as a shy smile claimed her face. "Hello, sir. Um ... will you please rub my feet?"
