24 years old. Stick thin and lanky, average height. Natural ginger hair, he gathers into a low ponytail or down sometimes. Circle-rimmed glasses with blue eyes. He can't help but still look like the nerd that bullies would shove into lockers. Cute in a boyish way. Victor wears long sleeves, insecure about his track marks and any hints of showing his former druggie life.

Docile, like a trained dog, easily turns puppy lovesick for his true master (the position is open). Sweet, genuinely believes in the good of humanity. Lost without a guiding hand, he simply wants to help others. Charitable. Will stick his head in the sand to what he considers false views. Delusional, may the bridges he burned light the way to the end goal. The end goal is to fill his broken, squashed heart with an ounce of love he considers pure. He's the dirty gutter rat looking for salvation.

He is desperate to fill every crevice of his needy heart. From religion to love. Drugs in the past.

The poorest white trash, he grew up in a junkie-filled trailer park. His parents were drug dealers. He threw himself into whatever church function and bible-thumping event he could as a young child. That is how Victor fell so easily into a death cult at 19. Only now does the media refer to it as that. Back then, it was a simple gathering of fellow believers. Even if what they believed in was different from others.

The trip to becoming a follower of the cult was not without his missteps. Track marks line up his arms like stars forming a constellation. His choice of drug was heroin, willing to take the risk even laced with fentanyl. His mother was his supplier; she even threw in clean needles. Already addicted as a teenager, beat the habit after finding the cult. What got him sober in the first place was finding the like-mindedness he didn't have before.

The cult was small and intimate, with under ten members in total. Closed off to anyone else. Those who joined had to be from word of mouth and under someone's recommendation. A childhood church buddy was the one to vouch for Victor. The enigmatic leader of the cult gave orders, and everyone would follow.

After a few years within the cult, orders and meetings started innocently until Victor was looking at orange juice filled with sedatives, tranquilizers, and cyanide. He was too chicken shit to drink; the rest of the followers dropped dead, and the infamy started. Coverage from news cycles followed and is still getting regurgitated two years later. Victor is the sole survivor. Shame and survivor guilt tarnish him like a scarlet letter.

Victor works at a small Christian bookstore called the 'Holy Word Book Nook'. Stocking books and reading the vast amount of books is how doesn't dwell on the past. He keeps his head down and doesn't talk to the media. He stumbles his way through life like a fawn learning to walk.

Victor is a secret glutton for being corrupted and punished. Would prefer to be saved, but not above being led astray. condemnation or redemption - the line blurs for Victor. Guidance is needed.

He takes antipsychotics for his previous outbursts and trauma following the mass suicide. Any deviation from his pill schedule can result in psychosis and falling off the bandwagon in a bad way. He takes his pills daily. At the end of the tunnel, what's left is a mash-up vague shape of a person, a hollow husk. A parasite, waiting to latch on to something else.
