Victim 1 - A Closeted Artist

Takes place inside of a 'Fundamental Live Lessons',

Fundamental Live Lessons (FLL) is an obscure live simulator/Survival horror/Educational game, released March 1st 2004 on PlayStation 2. The game lets you take a role of a shy and timid artist - Abbie, navigating throughout the school life for a whole year and attempting to be brave. The game combined both the elements of an open-world visual novel during the day/peace segments, and a survival first-person horror collectathon during the 'failure segments', with Abbie either attempting to survive the threat, or collect a certain amount of notebooks to escape. The game, at the time, was met with mixed reviews, with people finding the game’s pacing a bit too dragged out and the gameplay being repetitive. People did praise the character interactions and how charming they were, but this wasn’t enough. Not only that, but it was a start of games attempting to be openly edgy, and with FLL looking like a kids game (with the only warning being an 18+ rating). This led to the sales plummeting, with the studio behind it’s development being closed. While the game had a semblance of a fanbase, it was too obscure to really take off… until now.

In 2024, an animation featuring the characters was released: 'Basics in Behavior' - An animation, featuring the Trio (Oliver, Edward and Zip) bullying Claire in different ways (Like Edward's drone dropping her into the library's long pit.). Abbie failing his test and being chased by Miss Circle, before getting chased by the enraged Math teacher, and later getting killed like her. Lana dying off-screen by the teacher's hands for being a witness. Close to the end, due to the constant bullying, Claire fails 3 important tests (Math, Science and Language), which aggravates the respective teachers, letting to a chase. Without the student's knowledge, Zip and Oliver put an exit sign on a door, leading to Alice's basement. With Engel buying some time and Claire discovering the corpses of Abbie and Lana, she runs into the basement, startling even the murderous teachers, knowing well what's going to happen. The animation comes to an end, as Claire exits the basement and gets chased by Alice, before being mauled to death by the demon, as the whole university discovers the body. The series would later be known as 'Fundamental Paper Education' and was going to be inspired by Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning.

During 2025, there was a sudden influx of EBay purchases of physical copies for this game! Not only that, a ROM of this game was reuploaded on the internet for everyone to play , making the origins of both Baldi and FPE as we know no longer a lost media. Unfortunately, something malicious resigned inside of this game.

'Paper University' is the main location, where most of the game takes place. Despite it's name, the university isn't actually made out of paper. This university primarily uses white and grey colors, the decorations across it ranging from amateur drawings to motivational posters.

Not only that, the university has classrooms, a large library with a bottomless pits, a gym, a pool, a garden and much more. The university is also known for it's rumors about 'Murderous Teachers', who kill students for failing their tests.

A malicious entity/Npc resides inside of the University’s basement, a princess of Malice, who goes by the name 'Alice' and feeds on unfortunate humans, who end up in her room. Also dates Oliver.

Outside of the building, there is a 'Paperville', a regular suburbian town, which mostly uses white colors and has the usual structures, natiral for the real towns (Houses, trees, stores, arcades, parks, museums and Etc).

The 'day cycle' lasts from 7 AM to 7 PM'

The routine would always go this way: Start of a day -> 20 minute Free time -> 1 Hour and 30 Minute Lesson -> 10 minute free time -> 1 Hour and 30 minute Lesson -> 50 minute free time -> 1 Hour and 30 minute lesson -> 10 minute free time -> 1 hour and 30 minute lesson -> The rest is free time until the day 'Ends'.

The lessons are randomized and are chosen out of this list: Music (Mister Demi), Art (Miss Sasha), History (Miss Emily), Math (Miss Circle), Science (Miss Bloomie) and Language (Miss Thavel).

In rare instances, the lessons would have exams, determining the knowledge of others. Failing the Math, Science and Language exams would aggravate the teachers and turn them hostile against the failures (both NPC's and the trapped victims.).

The entire world has a faraway white fog spread around it, originally used for the console optimization.

The day cycle lasts for around 12 hours, going from morning to evening, resembling the average studying period at a real university. After it reaches 12 hours, the sky will quickly skim through the night, before stopping at the morning.

Outside of the Paperville, there is an 'Out of Bounds area' - an entirely white area with nothing. Falling through it would make the unfortunate victim fall endlessly to their doom.

The out of bounds area can also be accessed at a library through a hole.

There is always a faint soothing music playing in the background, a part of the games OST.

Abilities/Arsenal: Sock Puppets (Lana's trusty socks with googly eyes, which she always wears. They puppets are not actually alive, but they often share emotions with her. The one on the left hand is called Glorp, and is a sweet puppet, usually showcasing her silly thoughts. Blorp is her other puppet on the right hand, and is a mischievous puppet, usually showcasing her hidden desires/silly ideas). Increased Stamina (Lana/Lisa is naturally good at running + Lisa is able to endure countless sleepless nights making commissions). Artistic skills (Lisa can replicate the original artstyle of the series she's in love with).

Backstory: Lisa was just a regular introverted artist, living in her own apartment and having supportive parents, who became fascinated with a thing called 'Fundamental Paper Education'. A paper university with murderous teacher, a demon, and other colorful personalities fascinated her. But at this point, she became obsessed with a franchise, drawing artwork and uploading it on the internet. She even thought about becoming a part of it, being a student, talking to these people in reality, living the life she couldn't ever live in the reality, without using ai bots to replicate them. One day, during her search for the inspiration, she found out about 'FLL', a supposed lost 'FPE' ancestor! With excitement in her mind in seeing the prototypes for these characters, she downloaded a PS2 emulator, before installing the ROM onto her computer. Originally, the game facinated her! I mean, come on! It's a predecessor to the classic horror games she had seen! But the game slowly went wrong: Abbie - the main character, was interacting with her, subtly breaking the 4'th wall, with antagonists pulling out cheesy scares. The girl just laughed it off - she had seen this kind of stuff in things like Sonic.Exe or Doki Doki Literature Club. The game acting like a creepypasta wasn't news for her. Unfortunately for her... Whatever was behind the screen already took both the control of her computer, blocking from being able to be exited and messing with the artist's computer. Urgh... really? A virus? But it was too late for her, her soul was now under the control. The girl slowly, metaphorically shot her head with finger guns, putting her real body into a coma, as her consciousness went inside of the game, manifesting into the Lana's body with some... strange changes within her.

Manners: Naturally loud and bubbly voice, despite her personality. Despite her new appearance, refers to herself as 'Lisa'. Has a hard time adjusting to her new body. Prone to crying from fear. Prone to zoning out, when bored. Prone to thinking a bit on her words, before saying them. Has self-esteem issues. Has problems with taking actions when needed.

Relations: 'Abbie' is her favorite character, who she cherishes with all her heart. Lana is her second favorite character, striving to be like her. Considers 'Claire' a bit bland, even if likes her as a character. Likes 'Engel' as a character, watched countless revenge aus, where he kills the bully trio after the deadly prank. Likes 'Oliver', 'Edward', 'Alice' and 'Zip' as magnificent bastards, even if she would've probably hated them in real life. Loves 'Riley's' yandere tendencies towards Oliver, finding it fun, even if she would actually be scared in real life. 'Mister Demi' and 'Miss Sasha' remind her of teachers in her art school she used to look up to. Hates 'Miss Circle' due to killing 2 of her favorites in canon. Is facinated by 'Miss Thavel' and her wendigo tendencies. Is sympathetic towards 'Miss Bloomie', headcanoning her (back in her world) as someone with a guilt. Often forgets about the existence of 'Bubble' due to barely seeing her in the fanworks. Considers 'Kevin's' attitude funny. Likes playfully (if her nerves don't get the best of her) mock 'Skell's' edginess. Is Facinated by 'Ruby's' structure. Is secretly afraid of 'Miss Grace', comparing her to the principal of her school, before she graduated from it. Doesn't understand 'Robby's' personality, not knowing who truly he is. Loves 'Miss Emily's' attitude, even if she's one of the less popular characters. Sees 'Cubbie' as someone cute'.

Npc's are the basic characters, resembling the characters, who both appear in this game, and in 'Basics in Behavior' song. These characters, despite looking like their original counterparts, are one-note, not having any backstories and only having basic personalities (With one notable trait) with the core group they stick to.

Due to being basic, these characters are not able to recall their relationship with characters not apart of their group, with the exception of rivalries between (For example, 'Zip' here doesn't know Chip, her supposed younger brother, or 'Edward' being on good terms with 'Riley').

The npc's have a basic cycle of: Entering the University, Attending Classes, Having Free time and doing their things (Like pranks for the bullies), even being able to interact with others, including Lisa/Lana. Going to their homes.

All characters have no necks, white skin and floating heads.

Groups: Nice people (Claire, Engel and Bubble). Bullies (Oliver, Edward and Zip). Weirdos (Ruby, Robby, Skell and Riley). Other students (Cubbie, Kevin, Petunia, Lizzy). Evil Teachers (Miss Circle, Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie). Nice Staff (Miss Grace, Miss Emily, Miss Sasha and Mister Demi).

Engel: A 20 year old male student with black arms, clawed hands, small white tail, Long white messy hair tied into a ponytail, Blue and red feather accessory. Wears White shirt with cyan and red stripes, white Collar, black overalls, light gray two piece suit, white socks with cyan and red stripes, black Boots. Is mainly protective of his friends.

Zip: A 20 year old female student with black legs, black arms, spiked dragon tail, sharp teeth. Has hort 2-toned black and white hair with a swirly-squarish ahoge, the white part of her hair is tied into a ponytail. The white part of her hair also has an incorrect math equation; "2 + 2 = 8", which is colored blue. Wears white sleeveless dress along with a white short poncho over it, with the top of the poncho being covered in multiple drawings. Long black boots with heels. Is known to be silly with pranks via paper airplanes.

Edward: A 20 year old male student with black horns, black legs, black arms, Long spiky white hair and Black twisted Imp tail. Wears White scientist coat, black collared shirt with buttons with the lower half of the shirt being colored white, white collar, black pants, big black boots, white socks, hidden inside of his boots and round black glasses. He always walks around with his drone: A rectangular square box with virtual eyes and 2 claws. His defining personality is being prideful.

Oliver: A 22 year old male student with Ankle-length white hair that is tied into a bottom ponytail with a black bow, Sharp teeth, 2 black horns on his head, A+ mark on the right side of his hair, Forked tongue and Split ahoge. Has a Prosthetic Pencil forearm replace his left forearm. Wears Black shirt with white stripes, White Collar, White shorts, White knee-high socks, Black boots and a watch on his right arm. His defining characteristic is being a sadistic prankster.

Miss Circle: A 38 year old 9'7 height female math teacher with sharp teeth, Long, spiky black hair and 2 horns on her head. Her Left forearm is replaced with a drawing compass. Wears Black button-up shirt, White Collar, White pants, White bowtie, Black socks and Black boots. Her main characteristic is being a sadistic perfectionist with a goofy persona. Is a cannibal.

Miss Bloomie: A 36 year old short female science teacher with sharp teeth, sharp claws, a forked tongue and Only one visible black eye. Her mouth is usually hidden, unless talking or eating. Has short black bob hair with blunt bangs and a pair of black horns. Hair is tied up in a small ponytail with a white bow. Her Left forearm is replaced with a box cutter. Wears White-collared black long-sleeved shirt, with two white buttons in the center, Long white skirt, Long and pointed shoes and White socks. Her defining personality is being professionally calm.

Miss Thavel: A 35 year old Half-Wendigo female language teacher, having a black shoulder-length messy spiky hair with a swirly-squarish ahoge atop her head and a single stray strand on her bangs, Black Clawed hands and sharp teeth. Wears White buttoned-up dress, which is tattered on the right sleeve and skirt’s hem, Ankle-white socks, Black-heeled boots and three letter block pins, labeled by alphabetical order on her head (A, B and C.). The A and C blocks also have 2 white feathers. Her defining personality is beign a distractable wild menace with anger issues. Is a cannibal.

Miss Demi: A 26 year old male music teacher, having a white shoulder-length bob-cut, Small horns, Light-green eyes, White pencils on top of his head, Left bang resembling a piano keyboard and black limbs,. Has an Above-average height and Slender build. Wears white collared puffy sleeved shirt with black suspenders over it and with an 8'th note at the center of it. The left strap of his overalls has 2 white clips. Also wears Black pants with a belt, White socks, Black heeled shoes and Black glasses. His defining personality is being anxious.

Miss Sasha: A 26 year old female art teacher, having a Long, messy black hair, tied up in a ponytail with a rainbow ribbon, Clawed hands and Only one visible left eye, with her right eye is covered by a green book. Wears Light maroon beret, White and grey striped collared shirt, Black jacket, with the bottom of it having a large pocket, Black shorts, White socks, Black boots with teal laces. Her main personality is being caring.

Miss Grace: A 40 year old tall female principal, having White big ponytail with two small clips on her right bangs, Black horns, with the left one being partially snapped off, The right horn has a paper with a piece of paper, showing a triangle crossed through by two lines on it, Clawed hands AND Three scars on her forehead, which are covered by hair. Wears Green suit with two buttons, White collared shirt, a black tie, Black shoes, White socks and a monocle on her right eye. Her main personality is being stern. Usually sits in her office.

Miss Emily: A 39 year old female history teacher. Compared to other teachers, she has a dark skin. Has a black afro hair tied into two low pigtails. Black puffy tail, fit body and Black horns. Wears Rectangular-rimmed glasses, White blouse with two black buttons and black hems on the sleeves, Black skirt with five white spots, Black tights, Calf-length black heeled boots and Black gloves. Her main personality trait is being a humorous tease with heart.
