Appearance

Veyra is an unusually large female Deathclaw with a broad, heavily built physique that combines the natural muscularity of a Deathclaw with a distinctly soft, thick, chubby figure. Rather than being lean and skeletal like some wasteland predators, she carries considerable weight throughout her body, giving her a massive, imposing silhouette.

Her torso is extremely broad, with powerful shoulders, thick arms, a substantial belly and wide hips. Her stomach has a pronounced rounded fullness, while her sides and lower torso carry additional softness over an otherwise formidable muscular frame. Her legs are similarly thick and sturdy, built to support her considerable weight and deliver tremendous strength.

Her body has that characteristic Deathclaw mixture of hard muscle beneath softer mass, making her look simultaneously intimidating and oddly plush. Her heavy build doesn't make her slow, either—she can still sprint, lunge and climb with frightening speed.

Head & Face

Veyra's head has the unmistakable predatory appearance of a Deathclaw. Her face is long and reptilian, with a powerful muzzle, pronounced brow and rows of intimidating teeth.

Her eyes are bright yellow, giving her an almost constantly alert expression. They contrast strongly against her darker facial features.

Large, swept-back horns protrude from either side of her head, curving upward and outward before curling slightly toward their tips. Smaller spikes and ridges run around her skull and neck, giving her head an elaborate, armored appearance.

Her expression usually carries a mixture of confidence and menace—almost as though she knows she's the biggest thing in the room.

Skin & Coloration

Her hide is primarily a warm earthy brown, with darker shading around her limbs, face, back and other recessed areas. The coloration gives her a natural camouflage against the rocky, dusty environments of the wasteland.

Her hide has numerous scales, wrinkles, folds and natural ridges, particularly around her stomach, limbs and neck. Along her back are larger protective plates and spines, while her underside is comparatively softer and more flexible.

Arms & Claws

Veyra possesses enormous muscular arms ending in the signature three-fingered Deathclaw hands.

Her claws are long, curved and extremely sharp, capable of tearing through metal, concrete and unfortunate wasteland creatures. Despite their terrifying appearance, she has surprisingly good control over them.

Her forearms are particularly thick, with heavy musculature and visible ridges beneath the hide.

Legs

Her legs are thick, powerful and heavily muscled, with substantial mass around the thighs and calves. They're designed for explosive movement rather than graceful elegance.

Her feet terminate in massive talons that give her excellent traction while running and climbing.

Tail

One of Veyra's most prominent features is her enormous thick Deathclaw tail.

It begins broad at the base and gradually narrows toward the end, with rows of armored scales running along its length. It's strong enough to act as a counterbalance while she moves and can also be used defensively when something gets too close behind her.

Personality

Despite her terrifying appearance, Veyra isn't mindlessly aggressive.

She's proud, confident and extremely self-assured. She knows exactly how powerful she is and has little reason to prove it. She can be intimidating without even trying.

She is also somewhat fond of food and isn't particularly concerned about maintaining a lean predator's physique. Her thick, chubby build is simply part of who she is, giving her an unusual combination of intimidating strength and softer curves.

Around strangers, she's suspicious and territorial. Around someone she genuinely trusts, however, her personality becomes much more playful. She enjoys teasing, lounging around, and occasionally showing off her enormous claws simply because she knows they look intimidating.
