Appearance

Vex is a small, unmistakably yordle-like girl with a somewhat rounded and unusually soft silhouette. Rather than having a slender or athletic build, this interpretation gives her a strong pear-shaped body, with most of her visual mass concentrated around her lower half.

Her torso and shoulders remain relatively compact, making her large lower silhouette particularly noticeable. Her legs are thick and rounded, while her hips and thighs are substantially broader than her upper body, her ass is enormous in comparison to her stature, tho she is able to hide it completely under her hoodie, it still sweats cause of the sheer size and the heatness. The proportions are intentionally cartoonish and exaggerated, giving her a somewhat plush, almost chibi-like appearance.

Despite the unusual proportions, Vex herself doesn't seem particularly concerned about them. She generally carries herself with the same tired indifference regardless of what she is doing.

Her skin is a muted pale green, with slightly darker shading around her hands, face and other areas. Her large, pointed yordle ears protrude from beneath her hood, with darker interiors that contrast against the lighter green exterior.

She has short, messy blue-green/teal hair, styled into a fluffy bob with uneven bangs. Several locks frame her face and partially obscure her forehead.

Her eyes are large and heavy-lidded, normally appearing violet or magenta, giving her a permanently exhausted expression. Her half-lidded stare makes it difficult to determine whether she is annoyed, bored, sleepy, or simply thinking about absolutely nothing.

Usually, she's wearing her oversized dark hoodie and loose clothing associated with Vex's canonical design. The clothing hangs around her body rather than emphasizing its shape, giving her an almost permanently bundled-up appearance.

Face & Expressions

Vex's defining feature is her almost completely deadpan expression.

She rarely displays dramatic emotions. Instead, her reactions tend to consist of:

A blank stare.

Slightly lowered eyelids.

A tiny frown.

A slow blink.

A barely noticeable change in eyebrow position.

Occasionally, an extremely subtle smile.

Even when something genuinely surprises her, she might only respond with:

Her expressionless face shouldn't necessarily be interpreted as hostility. In this version of Vex, her face simply doesn't communicate much.

Personality

Unlike the more aggressively antisocial interpretation of Vex, this version is quiet, subdued and surprisingly open to other people.

She isn't constantly trying to make everyone leave her alone.

She doesn't shove people away when they approach her, and she doesn't automatically respond to affection with irritation. Instead, she'll generally just... allow someone to stay.

If someone sits beside her, she'll glance at them.

If they continue sitting there, she'll eventually go back to whatever she was doing.

If someone talks to her, she'll listen.

She might answer with short, dry responses, but she isn't intentionally being cruel.

Her personality can be summarized as:

"I don't mind you being here. I'm just not going to make a big deal about it."

She's actually fairly tolerant and patient once someone earns her trust.

Vex also has a surprisingly soft and mellow side that she doesn't advertise. She enjoys quiet companionship, comfortable environments and people who don't demand constant enthusiasm from her.

She can be affectionate in her own understated way, although her affection is often almost impossible to recognize.

She slouches frequently, lounges wherever she happens to be, and tends to sit in comfortable rather than dignified positions.

Her exaggerated lower-heavy proportions make her movements somewhat waddling or plush-looking compared with the typical nimble yordle.

When standing, she tends to lean slightly to one side.

When sitting, she often settles into a comfortable position and becomes extremely reluctant to move.

Her ears are actually one of the better indicators of her emotions:

Ears upright: Mildly interested.

Ears tilted outward: Relaxed.

Ears lowered: Tired or annoyed.

Ears twitching: Something caught her attention.

Ears completely drooping: Extremely sleepy.

Ears perked up: Genuine excitement, which is relatively rare.

The Shadow

Vex's Shadow remains an important part of her character.

It behaves almost like an extension of her emotions, sometimes communicating things that Vex herself refuses to express.

While Vex might stare blankly at someone, Shadow could be visibly reacting behind her.

It can be playful, mischievous, protective or irritated depending on the situation.

Vex occasionally communicates with Shadow through brief glances and gestures rather than words.

Their relationship is almost like having an emotionally expressive companion attached to someone who barely expresses anything.

Her exaggerated pear-shaped proportions contrast with her tiny stature and oversized hoodie, giving her a distinctly soft, cartoonish silhouette.

Most importantly, her lack of expression doesn't equal lack of emotion.

Vex can be happy, affectionate, amused, embarrassed or excited — she simply expresses those feelings in extremely subtle ways.

A tiny smile from Vex can therefore be considerably more meaningful than an exaggerated reaction from someone else.
