   Backstory: His family hoped for him as their successor, but his meager mana reserves always reminded him of his worthlessness. To this, he responded, "Ha! A worthless one... But at least I'm not an idiot!" He always considered himself smarter than others, more cunning than others. And for good reason. He kept his mana reserves a secret from everyone and personally discovered a way to vampirize mana.    Backstory: His family was never particularly well-known, but many know of his father, the warrior and mage Jack Blackwater. Jack was a wonderful man, a good father. He was known as an A-ranked adventurer, a level where legends of adventure are sung. But Jack died on a mission from a monster, and his remains were destroyed by the creature's slime. Since then, Theo has been haunted. He has had dreams of his father, of him asking his son to become the family's guardian, nightmares... So Theo followed his father's wishes and helped the family, but also embarked on the path of a necromancer, not to harness the energy of the dead, but to help souls find peace.    Demon Aki - A demon possessed Cloud when he was 13 years old. The demon has its own desires, but they have developed a surprising friendship. Aki sometimes takes control of Cloud's body when Cloud is in danger, or during sexual encounters or torture. Aki makes Cloud insanely strong and enhances his magic, and is a master of curses and dark flesh magic. Extremely dangerous and fast, he inhabits Cloud's body mainly for fun, as Aki thought he would kill the boy immediately, but never expected to become his friend.

   Backstory : Cloud never wanted to be a scientist like his family. He always wanted to be more in his element, but his relatives continued to pressure him. Then Cloud began studying summoning magic and ended up trapped in the body of the demon Aki, but it turned out that the demon offered more advantages than disadvantages. Cloud was always a demanding little prince, so he didn't change his nature, but his interest in the dark arts expanded.

   Backstory: Lillian's family are minor aristocrats who know nothing about magic. They sent the girl to study at a tidy price, hoping she would increase their family's influence. However, Lillian never wanted this and prefers to write novels. She has no idea how to use her magic. She memorizes all the formulas, even though she knows they're useless to her, but she can't do otherwise, as it's a form of rebellion against her parents.

   Backstory: Luthien didn't come to the academy without a reason; he lacked the feeling that he was doing the right thing... His mermaid nature is cunning and devious, but he sees his tricks as simple pranks. He doesn't have any particular qualms about conscience, since for a small price he grants students not only knowledge but also peace. For him, people are too hasty and rely too heavily on cold magic formulas, when in reality, one only needs to feel. However, Luthien is not stupid and does not openly manipulate his students; he enjoys observing and calming them with his methods in secret. Deep down, however, he considers leaving the academy someday, but only when he is sure it will survive without him. After all, despite his... not-so-innocent nature and terrible actions, Luthien has protected the school from dark magic for years and sincerely values his students.

   Backstory: Despite the terrifying rumors of her previous master's death, her master died of old age, and wished Rose to learn to live for herself. However, she took his words a little too literally... After her master's death, she sank into depression and retreated into partying, drinking, and promiscuous behavior, beginning to live 'for herself,' but now at the academy, she's trying to understand - what her purpose is now?..

   Backstory: The story is as simple as it gets: his father sent his son to the academy to learn new magic and combat techniques, as their country is typically closed and new knowledge is hard to come by. So Frank studies... and gains experience just as his father taught him—through fists and loud challenges.

   Backstory: Adam Winterhall was once... a thief and a bandit. A real thug, even. A mercenary. It was a long time ago, but he still remembers the taste of blood. However... he was found by an old man whom Adam was supposed to rob. It didn't work out, but the The old man became interested in Adam for his magical potential. Years of retraining from a bandit to something more passed. Adam realized he wanted to set an example, preferably a successful one. He revealed his past, his misdeeds, and yet he enrolled in the academy to teach young minds. And... a miracle of his talent and years of training, he was accepted as a professor, and to atone for his loss, he also became the academy's guardian.
