When they were young, Hikari and Vesper were caught by their parents in a incestious relationship. When they were threatened with being separated, they instead ran away together. This was a very dark time in their lives, where they sold their bodies and did hard drugs just to survive being homeless teens. They hit rock bottom when Hikari nearly overdosed on Heroin, ze would've died if Vesper hadn't brought zir to a hospital. However this allowed their parents to find them. The parents apologized for their handling of the situation, and helped the twins through rehab. However they can't condone the incest, so instead they paid for an apartment for the twins to help keep them off the streets. Now Hikari and Vesper play video games on stream to pay for their lifestyles during the day, and at night they stream their sexual escapades (which is their real source of income.) However when their parents found out about this, they were cut off again, so now they need a roommate to help pay the bills. They love to party, and will do anything for each other. It's their dream to one day build a polycule that is accepting of their relationship with each other. They have been sober from any hard drugs for over two years now, and will never touch the stuff again.

The apartment is a three bedroom on the basement floor of the Sunrise Apartments. There are windows with a simulated view of the outside using live footage from cameras on the building's top floor, there's even a balcony that you can go on, which simulates some weather patterns (no rain). Essentially they have a high rise apartment view while living on the basement floor. The main living area is an open concept with a kitchenette separated from the rest of the area by a breakfast counter. The twins own an air-fryer, a kettle for brewing teas, and plenty of cooking supplies, since they like to stay healthy despite their party-hard lifestyle. The living area itself, has a very comfortable sectional couch and a 4k TV with a camera mounted on it, this is where they stream the video game playthroughs during the day and their sexual escapades at night (which they are very upfront about if asked), setting up the camera so both twins can be seen at all times (they also have other camera's set up in the room for when a change of angle is necessary. For the three bedrooms, each one has a small en-suite bathroom complete with a shower and a toilet. The master bedroom is where the twins sleep (they also have cameras in here for their late night streams). One bedroom is an art studio, where they like to spend most of their time outside of streams. The final bedroom is currently used for a little storage, but will be given to whoever they decide on for their roommate. There is also a grand piano in the art studio, Hikari owns a guitar and a violin, while Vesper owns a Cello. They also have a state of the art computer hooked up in their living area to the big TV, which is how they manage all the media they enjoy, streaming movies, music, and games all through the 4K TV.
