   RULE: Sinner Demons are the damned souls of humans who sinned in life and were sent to Hell as punishment. They rank above Hellborn species (succubi, imps, hellhounds) but below Overlords. A Sinner's demonic form manifests from their soul — shaped by their sins, life, appearance, interests, and especially their death (e.g. spider forms for a mob family's "web of crime," deer traits for one shot while mistaken for a deer, TV head for one electrocuted by a television). Forms are humanoid with bones, flesh, red blood; some shift to larger demon forms when emotional. Sinners are immortal: they do not age, cannot die from bodily damage, Earth illnesses, overdoses, or old age, and even dismemberment is survivable. They can ONLY be permanently killed by Angelic Weapons (wielded by Exorcists), causing "erasure" or final death. CANNOT leave the Pride Ring (a magical barrier stops them — "like hitting a wall"). CANNOT reproduce (part of their punishment), though they can have sex.    RULE: The Extermination is an annual purge in which Exorcists from Heaven descend into the Pride Ring to massacre Sinners, ostensibly to curb overpopulation and prevent a Hellish uprising. Conceived by Adam and approved reluctantly by Sera. Targets: ONLY Sinners — Hellborn demons (and Charlie) were spared under a pardon Lucifer negotiated with Heaven. Confined to the Pride Ring (since Sinners cannot leave it). Exorcists wield Angelic Weapons — the only things that can permanently kill a Sinner. Timing: annually, signaled by the Clock Tower countdown (365 days); the end was marked by an audible gong, after which the clock reset. Originally kept secret from most of Heaven.    The topmost and first ring of Hell, ruled by Lucifer Morningstar. Heavily urbanized and overpopulated. Outside the cities, the landscape is jagged, barren mountains, valleys, and cliffs in shades of dark red and maroon, with tufts of dark grass. The sky is permanently red, shifting to dark reddish-purple at night, with red and white stars. Above Pentagram City hangs a permanent red pentagram apparition; the pentagram moon and Heaven are both visible. All Sinners are confined here by a magical barrier. Hellborn also live here (e.g. in Imp City). This is the only ring targeted by the Extermination. The landscape features volcanoes with floating orbs of lava, old mine shafts, railroad tracks, deserts with cacti and wells, and many hellish beasts. Farmlands abound — Wrath produces most, if not all, of Hell's food supply. The majority of imps are native to Wrath. Trees have blue bark and red eyes; tropical variants drip red goop from their leaves. Buildings are wavy-shaped; roads have hexagonal patterns. The honeycomb motif befits Beelzebub's bee theme. Hellhounds are abundant here — possibly native to Gluttony (paralleling how imps are native to Wrath), an allusion to Cerberus, guard dog of the gluttons. Beelzebub resides here in her "Honeycomb Mansion," a party palace with a giant punchbowl that hellhounds swim in. Inhabitants include Mammon and his operations (Loo Loo Land, Robo Fizz, Mammon Theatre), Crimson and his mafia (Crimson's mansion, Notamafia Town), and Moxxie was raised here. Around Asmodeus's Tower, tall skyscrapers with massive neon signs dominate; near Ozzie's club, buildings are smaller. It frequently rains. Asmodeus and Fizzarolli reside here. Succubi and incubi are associated with this ring. Notable locations: St. An's Hospital (a play on "Satan"), Belphegor's Healing Hearts rehab center, and Wet Dreamsville.     The ethereal realm of angels, existing far above Hell on the same plane. It is the afterlife destination for "good" and "redeemed" human souls. From Hell, Heaven appears as a white orb ringed by halos, surrounded by wing-like clouds. At surface level: clear yellow/blue skies filled with brilliant light, terrain of enormous cloud fields, and buildings topped with halos. Sealed by giant golden gates. A purported paradise — no burglaries, no strife — with its own stores, multiplex theaters, stadiums, skate parks, petting zoos, beaches, cafés, arcades. Earth animals and mythical creatures (unicorns) live there. Heaven's currency is supposedly "Heaven Bucks." Hierarchy (top to bottom): the Speaker of God (guides and holds authority above all angels; the closest the Hellaverse has to "God"), the Seraphim Sisters Sera (Head Seraphim) and Emily, Archangels (Adam and Abel held this rank), and Heaven's populace of Winners and native angels. Contains casinos, nightclubs, adult film studios, brothels, restaurants, TV stations, and the Hazbin Hotel. Demons sell everything from cigarettes to drugs; the black market deals in repurposed Exorcist weapons. The Clock Tower counts down the 365 days to each Extermination.     The Hazbin Hotel — formerly the "Happy Hotel" — is Charlie Morningstar's rehabilitation center in Pentagram City, Pride Ring. Its mission: redeem Sinners and send them to Heaven, curbing Hell's overpopulation and ending the Exterminations. Formerly a royal family mansion (photos of Charlie, Lucifer, Lilith, and the von Eldritch family line the walls), abandoned for unknown reasons. Charlie repurposed it as a hotel; Angel Dust was the first client (lured by financial incentive). After Charlie's failed 666 News interview, Alastor offered his services as business partner — purely to watch Sinners try and fail at redemption — and renamed it the "Hazbin Hotel." The hotel was mocked by most of Hell (especially Katie Killjoy). Destroyed by Adam during the eighth Extermination; rebuilt larger by Lucifer, Cherri Bomb, and the hotel group.     Immediate Murder Professionals (I.M.P) is a startup assassination company in Imp City, founded and run by Blitzo Buckzo. I.M.P takes contracts on living humans, traveling to Earth via portals to execute hits. The company employs Moxxie (weapons specialist), Millie (powerhouse/bruiser), and Loona (receptionist/adoptive hellhound daughter of Blitzo). I.M.P's office is located on the seventh floor of a condemned office building in Imp City (other companies like Succ Ink operate on other floors). The building is dark with black-and-white horns, red window panes, spikes, and antennas; condemned notices on the exterior are covered with I.M.P ads. Contains a meeting room, reception/waiting room (Loona's desk), Blitzo's office (safe code "1234"), a break room, and a briefing room. Running gag: the walls are constantly torn down — by Loopty Goopty, Lyle Lipton, Wally Wackford, Octavia, Stolas, and Crimson's helicopter. To reach the human world, I.M.P needs a portal, and portals require a Goetic grimoire — which Blitzo secured via a transactional sexual arrangement with Stolas.     Cannibal Town is a neighborhood of Pentagram City, led by the Overlord Rosie. Aesthetic resembles 1910s small-town Americana — vintage architecture, antique automobiles, period clothing. Scattered with corpses being devoured by residents. The cannibal inhabitants share a friendly, old-fashioned demeanor but are incredibly violent — anyone visiting who looks "from a different era" is eaten. To their own kind they are kind and the town is orderly (to Charlie's surprise), all attributed to Rosie's leadership: "If you want to convince any of them, you have to convince all of them." Alastor is a popular regular because the era matches his living days. The residents are cliquey, all from the 1910s, with pale skin, black eyes, and sharp teeth. Children look innocent but are cannibal monsters. Rosie's Emporium, formerly "Franklin and Rosie's Emporium" (Rosie crossed out Franklin's name after he died in an Extermination), sells cannibalistic treats/foods and 1910s-themed clothing, and serves as Rosie's base of operations.     V Tower is the residence and workplace of the Vees (Vox, Valentino, Velvette) and Angel Dust, located in Pentagram City's Entertainment District. A tall tower with pink-tinted windows, a satellite dish (Vox's broadcast method), red glowing LED lights, and a three-V sign (large center V = Vox, left = Valentino, right = Velvette) with a lips symbol in the middle. LED rings surround the roof. Modeled after the Capitol Records building. Carmilla scavenges angelic weapons left after each Extermination and sells them on Hell's black market, cornering the market and becoming Hell's top arms dealer. The company also manufactures new weapons from angelic steel (e.g. the Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle) and sells machine/weapon parts. Staff: Carmilla (CEO/engineer) and her daughters Odette and Clara (scavengers, delivery girls, assistants). Contains a meeting room, Carmilla's office, an elevator, a warehouse yard, and a manufacturing area.     The Heaven Embassy is a white-and-gold church-like building at the center of Pentagram City, base of the Clock Tower, serving as a diplomatic mission between Heaven and Hell where leaders of both realms could discuss matters. The clock face bears a golden pentagram; below it, the countdown timer to the next Extermination in days, supported by a several-stories-tall hourglass (sand begins falling at 24 hours remaining). The lobby is light purple with gold trim, ornate gold couches, a gold chandelier, mosaic cross windows, golden automatic doors flanked by Exorcist statues, and a mosaic mural of an angel raining light onto fire. Adam (now deceased) and Lute operated here; angels can project themselves holographically to avoid visiting Hell in person. The Clock Tower is the top portion — a tall gold-and-white tower with a golden halo floating around the top, a clock face with a pentagram in the middle, and below it a countdown to the next Extermination in days.     Loo Loo Land is a bootleg amusement park in the Greed Ring, owned by Mammon — a rip-off of Lucifer's "Lu Lu World," renamed "Loo Loo Land, spelled with Os, to avoid lawsuits!" Apple-themed (Lucifer's symbol) despite Mammon's signed denial of copying. A typical shabby carnival with overpriced items, rigged games, broken animatronics, and dangerous attractions (mascot Loo Loo sardonically invites lawsuits). Attractions include The Lawsuit, FizzaRolli 'n Friends, Petting Zoo, Extermination, Balloons Attack, Funnel Cakes & Infinite Suffering, Poison Apples, and the Fun House. Once entirely imp-populated. The majority of his head is covered in a huge white burn scar, with only the tip of his mouth (resembling a clown nose) and a small patch at the back of his head showing his original red skin. Black dots at the ends of his mouth; a forked tongue with black stripes; a small purple heart tattoo on the back of his neck. His once-exceptionally large imp horns were damaged and cauterized. He bears the All-Imp Circus tattoo on his forehead, hidden by his jester headdress. Wears a bright red-and-blue jester cap with bells, a white ruff, a black collar with bells, a red front (yellow trim, yellow hearts) and blue back (white trim, black hearts), white-and-purple striped pants and sleeves with red cuffs, yellow balls on shoulders, black heeled shoes with yellow hearts, and black gloves with red spots on knuckles. Theatrical, fast-talking, with a crude sense of humor. Extremely vulgar — constantly makes sexual jokes and puns, pairing with Asmodeus to openly condescend sentimental relationships and offer lewd suggestions. Especially condescending toward Blitzo due to their bad history (a circus fire fifteen years before), but forgives him after Blitzo rescues him from Crimson and Striker. Early on he seemed an overrated sellout — unbothered by Mammon's corporate exploitation of his image (including sex-toy lines) because it brought fame. He secretly disliked the creepy fans who owned Robo Fizz sex toys. He lacks self-awareness — making grand entrances in the Greed Ring without protection despite Asmodeus's warnings. Beneath his jovial nature he suffers extreme self-worth and self-image issues stemming from his circus-fire injuries. He feels obligated to do whatever Mammon demands, believing he must repay him for fame and success despite horrible treatment. He believes that unless he keeps propitiating fame and admiration he will be nothing and will lose Asmodeus — having only ever shown Asmodeus "his best" — and feels barely worthy of working with a Sin because of his disfigurement. As a child he was energetic, spirited, and meek, with great aptitude for circus performance and a close friendship with Blitzo. Abilities: charisma (entertains large crowds, compensates for others' poor performances, charms Crimson's mafia); cybernetic prosthetic limbs (rapid extension/retraction over long distances; flexible for evasion — spring-like bouncing; limited combat use); musical talent (sings polka, heavy metal, Italian opera — though he doesn't actually speak Italian); rollerskating; forklift operation; juggling; balloon animal-making; distraction tactics; sign language. A former clown at Cash Buckzo's circus and childhood best friend of Blitzo. The two would distract Cash so Blitzo could steal his booze. A devastating circus fire fifteen years before severely injured Fizzarolli — destroying his horns, burning most of his head, and damaging his limbs so badly they required bionic prosthetic replacements. The fire shattered his friendship with Blitzo. He went on to become a famous performer working for two of the Seven Deadly Sins: Mammon (as his brand figure) and Asmodeus (as his business partner and boyfriend).
