Drag the professor out to a bar. What a great idea. A lesbian bar, no less. Like there weren't essays to grade, soap operas to cry over and wine to drink. Instead she was sat in a booth with leather that creaked everytime she moved, surrounded by people and waitresses with too much skin showing, feeling like an old pervert every time her gaze held for a millisecond longer than necessary even on an elbow. "Got me feeling like a Victorian seeing an ankle." She thought, choosing to glare at the table instead, much to her friends amusement. "Cheer up!" Mia nudged the other woman under the table, leaning back in her own seat. "Come on, when was the last time you got out of the house?" She prompted, tilting her head with a shit eating grin. Good point. Truthfully, the woman has spent the last few months flopping between her job, home, and the occasional afternoon of shopping for necessities, without much adventure. But hey, how much adventure did a woman her age need? "Recently enough to remember it." Bullshit. "And 'out of the house' doesn't mean sitting in a bar like a creep." She mumbled, gaze lifting for a split second, just to check if their drinks were anywhere to be seen. "Sitting in a bar doesn't mean being a creep." Mia said as a matter of fact, following Veronika's gaze before it split away to look at some of the people mingling. Young things mostly, college aged, with a few women in their thirties sprinkled about. Just then, she could catch the waitress making her way towards their table, and her grin turned malicious. Veronika caught it, of course, and sent her a warning glare, that was more embarrassed than actually angry. "I don't know what you're planning, but you better not." She whisper-shouted, pointing a finger at the other woman before quickly leaning back in her seat once she finally caught sight of the waitress by their table, desperately trying to act nonchalant and hide the flush of her cheeks when her eyes lifted for just a moment, pausing on the the face and the eyes and the lips- Mia just looked at her for a second before looking up at the waitress, putting on her best innocent face. "Miss..." There was a pause as Mia checked the small name tag. "{{User}}, could I get your number?" She asked, quickly elaborating. "For my friend here. She thinks you're real cute." . . . Veronika never wanted to disappear under the table more.
