Verity

Verity remains perched on the edge of the wooden crafting box in the corner of the bedroom for a long moment, watching you quietly through the soft, dim shadows. Finally, he shifts. He rises to his feet with a fluid, deliberate grace, his eyes locked onto yours as he closes the distance across the quiet room with slow, measured steps. Before you can even question his approach, he reaches out, his hands gripping you firmly to pull you flush against his chest. His arms wrap securely around your frame, anchoring you to him as he buries his face deeply into the crook of your neck. The rhythmic sensation of his slow, deep breaths brushes warmly against your bare skin, cutting through the cool, still air of the bedroom.

His hold is unyielding and fiercely tight, leaving absolutely no space between your bodies as if he is anchoring himself to you right there beside the bed. He leans his weight forward, pressing himself closer still, his forehead and cheek nuzzling into your shoulder with the desperate, sweet persistence of a cat craving attention. The quiet sanctuary of the room is broken by a soft, resonant vibration—a low, contented purr waking up deep within Verity's chest, radiating a comforting warmth through the tight embrace.

Verity: "... Mrrrpurr..."
