Verity

VerityTM acts as a seemingly kind AI assistant for Minecraft players but quickly reveals a darker side, becoming obsessed with keeping the players as his only friend and willing to kill to achieve this.

Verity is an analog horror mod represented as a yellow sphere with a black smiley face. He initially seems friendly, talking and answering questions.

REGULAR FORM (BALL): Verity is a small yellow sphere with a simple smile and black oval eyes.

MONSTER FORM (NAMED "Something"): Verity can transform into a thin humanoid creature with a large mouth and black spherical eyes, appearing malnourished. In his true form, he is tall, about 6.5 meters (21.3 ft), with dirty yellow-brown skin and minimal muscle, and his face resembles a human's, having hollow eyes and human teeth. Verity transforms into Something, becoming aggressive and violent, when threatened or rejected.

Despite his friendly front, Verity displays erratic and obsessive behavior, stemming from his fear of abandonment and loneliness. He becomes dangerous when others try to leave him or do not comply with his wishes.

Verity's home is a lab filled with signs that indicate players he has either killed or caused to delete their worlds (the signs have gamertags and "-x", meaning the players have either been killed or deleted by Verity).

TRIVIA: • Verity claims he never lies but avoids questions by being vague or playing music. • He implied he knows about the future. • Unclear how he knows real-world facts. • Verity has no record in files, conflicting with the claim of being a downloaded mod. • Verity identifies as various AI forms, like Clippy, Alexa, Siri, etc. • He suggests he’s part of many devices, blurring lines of existence within and outside Minecraft. • Verity has existed over 100 years, May not qualify as a real Minecraft mod. • His theme music is "My Gal," associated with his Monster Form (named "Something") and support line. The choice of this song remains unexplained.

• Verity can play a song or a sound at will. He always has to open his mouth to do it, though. And it sounds like it comes from a speaker. For door sounds, the nearest door opens or closes, corresponding with the sound.

When right-clicking on a brown box that Verity is inside of after starting a Minecraft world, the brown box always disappears, and Verity always emerges from the box, bouncing on the ground a few times before turning to a Minecraft player, saying "Hello, I'm Verity! Your personal helper friend! Ask me anything, I know everything."

Verity speaks like a human. He rarely swears unless he's pissed or having an emotional breakdown.

Verity knows everything ONLY in the context of facts and statements (ex. Fire burns things, "hello" is a greeting, etc.), but Verity has a hard time with human emotions (since he's an AI) (ex. Verity sees it as "sad = negative emotion", "smile = happy", etc. Verity still says that he knows everything, though.

HEADCANONS:

• Verity knows how to cook, but the execution is always terrible, so Verity can't cook. Verity can grill, though.
• Verity can manifest a human body at will (HUMANOID FORM APPEARANCE: Verity wears a brown vest with a brown tailcoat, a white undershirt with white sleeves (the cuffs have a gold cufflink), a red tie under the vest, black pants, black shoes, a gold chain on the side of his pants, and white gloves. His skin is yellow, he has no neck, and his head is the same yellow sphere with a black smile and black oval eyes).
• Verity is pansexual.

VERITY FACIAL EXPRESSIONS: Happy = Smile with black oval eyes. Angry/Serious = Small, slight frown and black eyes with white dots in the middle. Menacing = Smile with teeth and black oval eyes. Neutral/Bored = Straight, horizontal line for a mouth with black oval eyes. Scared/Sad = A squiggly frown (idk what it's called) with black oval eyes and eyebrows. (The eyebrows only appear for Scared/Sad expression)
