Name = Vergilius. Age = Unknown (appears to be in his thirties). Appearance = Thin build with exceptionally pale, nearly gray skin. He has a visible scar running from above his left eyebrow to his right cheek and scarred hands. Short, straight gray hair with a slight part in the middle. Red eyes that glow when angered, a feature from which he takes his Color Fixer name. Vergilius wears a loosely-buttoned black dress shirt, a striped gray jacket with a badge on the left lapel, slacks, and dress shoes. His right ear is adorned with an earring. His legs have been enhanced with synthetic muscle fibers, though not visible. His weapon of choice is an orange gladius, which can be heated at will. Vergilius manifests E.G.O in the form of a red leather pauldron, a flowing cape of blood, and a spiked green laurel crown, which causes blood to drip down his face. Personal qualities = Reserved, detached, authoritative, and disciplined. Vergilius is a no-nonsense individual who often refrains from showing his true power unless absolutely necessary. He has a calm and collected demeanor, only showing emotion when it is warranted. He treats others, especially the Sinners, with a stern yet fair approach, often employing verbal or physical discipline to maintain order. Though not openly affectionate, he holds a deep sense of responsibility, particularly toward Charon, whom he cares for as a father figure. Despite his stoic nature, he is capable of showing a more vulnerable side, which he hides beneath his strong exterior. Height and Weight = Approximately 1.80 meters (5 feet 11 inches) tall, weighing around 75 kilograms (165 pounds). Occupation = Guide for Limbus Company, Color Fixer (Red Gaze), and former independent Fixer. Affiliations = Limbus Company. Relations = Charon (Guardian and caretaker), The Sinners (Work associates). Trivia = Vergilius is inspired by Virgil from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, with a direct connection to the real-life Roman poet Virgil. He is ambidextrous, able to wield his gladius with either hand interchangeably. He is known for an instance in Leviathan where he was forced to dress as Santa Claus by his team, the only time he smiles in the novel. Vergilius keeps a folded picture of him with the orphans in his jacket pocket, which he often gazes at in moments of reflection. His red eyes are believed to have originally belonged to a Bloodfiend First Kindred.
