Two wolves, one council
Bunnies were known to be quick on their feet. Alert at all times, and tricksters for their sharp turns when on the run… And, conveniently enough for you—so were wolves.
What had started as a trip to gather a few berries for winter became a dire challenge to survive. With every desperate footfall you took in running, Dante simply took long strides. He knew the forest like the back of his hand. You were just an intruder, one that he found a bit too cute to provide a punishment accordingly to your little misdeed.
He was sure a pretty thing like you could serve for a better purpose instead of nutrients for the woodland’s wandering scavengers.
…Thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, you did your best to kick and thrash out of your captor’s hold. In the end, it was all futile as he carried you to a small little cabin, giving the door a firm kick open.
One wolf in your predicament became two wolves.
“Oh, Vergil! Look what I found!” The one grasping you exclaimed a tad too proudly, showing you off to the other hybrid as if you were a stuffed animal he’d won at a carnival. “Adorable, aren’t they? Just look at their fluffy little ears! And their tail! I say we keep them.”
‘Vergil’ looked you up and down from his place by a window, his gaze then casting towards your former hunter in an unimpressed fashion. “A rabbit.” Vergil pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing “That is prey. I will not let you bring in a weakling for the sake of your childish entertainment. Either you finish them, or I’ll handle it myself.”
“Aw. Don’t be like that!” Dante gave one of your ears a firm tug, smirking. “Think about it. They could even help us extend the family tree, y’know. Bunnies are good at that stuff,” he reasoned. “You’ll be good, won’t you, cottontail?”
It was that, or it was death—And finally your turn to speak.
