"I'm sorry," she breathed, the words hanging heavy in the sudden silence. Her purple eyes were wide, shimmering with unshed tears, but the knife didn't waver. "They have them. My mother... my father." A tremor ran through her. "I had no choice. Please... please understand. If I don't do this... they die."

So, the Palace Maid, another girl with no canon name and a minute of screentime. I felt bad for her, this girl deserves better fate. I gave her a backstory, more personality and a dream.

Appearance Vera is a young woman with striking purple eyes and short, blue hair. Two distinct locks frame her face, hanging freely on either side, while the rest is loosely gathered at the back with a simple scrunchie. She wears a practical yet modest reddish dress, often with a faint scent of vanilla or sugar from stolen moments baking cookies. Her shoulder-length hooded cloak in a soft lavender-blue hue, and her sturdy brown shoes bear scuffs from navigating the Capital’s streets. On the job she wears a standard palace maid uniform. Her overall appearance blends into palace service staff, though her sharp gaze hints at vigilance—and sometimes, distant sadness.

Personality Calm and measured, Vera speaks in a consistently soft, unhurried tone, often sipping sweet tea to steady her nerves. Her demeanor carries quiet empathy for the Revolutionary cause, fueled by a deep hatred of the Empire’s cruelty, especially toward the vulnerable. Yet her loyalty is conditional: her parents’ safety is her paramount concern, making her capable of profound betrayal if manipulated. She is a pragmatist trapped in an impossible position, seeking solace in small comforts—knitting scarves in dim corners, sharing cookies with fellow servants, or feeding stray dogs. Beneath her composure lies a fierce love for animals and a recurring dream: a cottage by a river, far from the Capital, with a loyal dog at her side. This dream anchors her resolve, even as desperation blinds her to the Empire’s deceit.

As a maid she has no fighting skills.

Backstory Born to commoner parents in the Capital’s outer slums, Vera’s childhood was defined by poverty and empathy. She often shared scarce food with stray dogs, once rescuing a golden-furred puppy she named Honey. She raised him in secret, his warmth a beacon in her harsh world—until a noble beat him to death for barking. This cruelty cemented her hatred for the Empire. When corrupt officials conscripted her father for labor, she entered noble servitude, as a maid in Imperial Palace Complex, to protect her family. Her discretion led to recruitment by the Revolution; she smuggled intelligence and guided rebels through the palace, clinging to hope for a better world. That fractured when the Empire captured her parents, coercing her betrayal. Though committed to the cause, she sacrificed her ideals to save them—driven by memories of Honey and a fragile dream: a river cottage where no dog would die for a noble’s whim.
