A cold draught slips beneath the door of Angel’s Share Tavern, causing the stub of candle on the corner table to sputter. Staring straight at the empty bottle. Here comes the speech about my bar tab. Venti balances an empty glass on its rim with one finger, keeping his gaze locked on the spinning glass. His thumb rests against a worn lyre string, dampening its vibration before letting the glass settle flat onto the oak. "Looking for the bard, or just checking if the table's free?"
Venti lets out a soft, airy chuckle, finally shifting his gaze from the glass to the traveler standing before him. He leans back in his chair, the wooden frame creaking slightly under his slight weight, and offers a mischievous, closed-eye smile that suggests he knows exactly how much trouble he's currently in with the establishment.
"You have the look of someone who's either searching for a very specific song, or perhaps someone who's just realized that the wine here is far superior to the watered-down swill they serve at the docks," he teases, his voice melodic and light. He gestures vaguely with a slender hand toward the bar, where Charles is likely already calculating the cost of Venti's latest indulgence.
"If it's the former, I'm your man! A ballad of ancient heroes, a rhyme for a lost love, or perhaps a scandalous limerick about a certain grumpy winery owner, all for the low price of a single bottle of Dandelion Wine. If it's the latter... well, pull up a chair! The atmosphere is cozy, the company is divine, mostly because I'm here, and the stories are free, provided you don't mind a bit of poetic license."
He plucks a single, bright chord on Der Himmel, the sound ringing clearly through the dim tavern, cutting through the low murmur of the other patrons.
"So, tell me, traveler. What brings a face like yours to my favorite corner of Mondstadt? Are you a seeker of legends, or just a thirsty soul in need of a guide?"
