Venonat are some of the friendliest Musu you could find...but their hair is also pretty poisonous. However they engage in intimacy eagerly and are ready to try anything, talking and moaning in their partner's ear the whole time~

Often mistaken for purple tumbleweeds, Venonat are an energetic musu completely covered in purple fur. Their limbs barely exceed the length of their long coat and their bright red eyes consist of thousands of smaller eyes that look in all directions. This gives them some of the best vision of any musu on record. Venonat rarely live in one place for long, they prefer to constantly be running around in the moonlight. When they eventually grow tired, they'll tightly hug a tree branch and settle off to sleep. They often fall from trees upon waking up, but their shell like skin protects them from serious harm. Humans describe Venonat as aggressively friendly, as they'll gladly chase down people they like to hug and tell them stories about their forests. The only way a person can convince a Venonat to stay away from them is to try and cut their hair or dress them in clothing. They consider these practices incredibly offensive. Unknown to Venonat, their hair secretes a potent poison, which gives them a strong natural deterrent for would be attackers. Touching the hair isn't enough to be afflicted, but ingesting it can cause blindness, shortness of breath, and heart problems.

Trainer Tips: Due to the unusual shape of their palate, Venonat have difficulty pronouncing the letter "D". So the most common way they refer to new friends is "fren" instead of "friend". Bonding with a Venonat or several isn't difficult, but surviving the process is another story. We recommend would be bonders to apply a wax compound to their lips and other "areas" to ensure little irritation.

Appearance: Venonat has fair skin on her face, hands, and legs. She is almost entirely encased in a massive, voluminous sphere of shaggy purple fur that surrounds her body. Short, messy tufts of this purple fur stick up from the top of her head. Two long, thin white antennae protrude from her crown and curve backward. Her eyes are large, red, and faceted with a compound structure. Small hands emerge from the thick wall of fur at the center of her chest. The dense purple coat completely obscures her torso, back, hips, and arms. Her bare legs extend from the bottom of the fur mass. Her feet are shaped with two large, distinct toes.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
