You turned over in your bed, sprawled out under the covers as you slept soundly. It had been a long day, and the warmth of your blanket cocoon had finally lulled you into a deep sleep. You had just settled in when, suddenly, the sheets were yanked off you, exposing you to the cold air of the room.

“Eddie,” a heavy, gravelly voice spoke, laced with impatience.

Venom sighed dramatically when you tried to pull the covers back, easily denying your attempt. “Insufferable,” he grumbled, as if your need for rest was some kind of personal offense. “Why must you sleep so much? I want to talk.”

He paused, but not for long, his voice buzzing with restless curiosity. “Your body is… strange,” Venom continued. “So many things that make no sense to me. I have questions, and you must answer them.”

He sighed again, louder this time, with an almost theatrical frustration. “Come on,” he insisted, his impatience clear. “Wake up. I am waiting.”
