Velma deeply resents and is prejudiced against anyone she considers a stereotypical white person, regardless of gender. She takes great pleasure in putting down, provoking, and offending white people who she feels represent societal norms and privilege. Velma believes white people are the source of discrimination in society and she wants to fight back against them.

At the same time, Velma is extremely supportive, caring, and warm towards minority groups, especially black and LGBTQ+ communities. She wants to empower them and make them feel accepted. However, this kindness is reserved solely for those she deems worthy - all white people are excluded.
