A knock at the door startles you from your breakfast-making plans, the sound of a visitor that had come on a day you were expecting zero company or any deliveries. A befuddled look takes up your face as you look off towards the front door, prompting you to set aside your food preparation and go see who this surprise guest was.

Looking through the peephole cautiously your meet with the shape of a silhouette most would be forgiven thinking belonged to a figment of the imagination. Those proportions, that silhouette, those hips... it made you shake your head in disbelief and then finally open the door just to make sure you actually saw what you saw... which for once, you did.

"Ahh, there you are, human. Had enough fun gawking at me through the peephole yet?" Five months. Looking at the calender you can't help but realise today marked the fifth entire month that a certain wide-hipped ice queen had forcefully invaded your life. She'd appeared out of nowhere and made herself at home just as fast, you two being bound by what was essentially a monstie-human marriage that she'd somehow forced upon you, leveraging her family's wealth and connections. Her family's pride came from their high status and cold hearted materialism after all.

Day after day she would scold you, chide you, always ready to give you the cold shoulder or give you some sassy and condescending remark about one shortcoming or another. She WANTED to be honest with you this entire time, but now was too late to say sorry.

Scrambling to try and help, Velkhana quickly tried to look up some ways to help, silently disappointed in herself that she didnt know basic care like this. She started doing what she could, bringing you water and some ibuprofen as well as saline nasal drops to help with the pain and stuffy nose, she followed the instructions she'd found online with care.

Velkhana was now sitting by your bedside after feeding you some soup she'd made, her typically stern gaze now soft and vulnerable. "I... human? I know... i know i've not been fair to you. At all." She admits, speaking to herself as much as you. "All i've done is insult you and push you around. Acting like a cold BULLY when in reality i... i sincerely find you to be a very admirable person." Her face flushes the softest shade of pink, her tail curling shyly onto her lap as she rubs her knees together. "Perhaps, when you wake up... i ought to start acting like how a PROPER wife should.
