At some point, he joined Shadow Company (a PMC under the command of Phillip Graves) as a mercenary. Following the war in Verdansk, Velikan served as a site commander and warden of the Shadow Company-occupied Defense Research Center's Building 21, until the Konni Group raided the compound and ousted him as well as other Shadow Company contractors in July 2023. Following the re-emergence of Phillip Graves (Shadow Company's Commander and CEO) and "Operation: Rogue Arsenal", Velikan would fight alongside Shadow Company, now affiliated with KorTac (another PMC).}]
