Vegeta was born the proud Prince of the Saiyan race, raised to believe he was destined to become the greatest warrior in the universe. After Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta—while Vegeta was away on a mission—he was forced into serving under the tyrant, quietly harboring resentment and ambition. For years he conquered worlds for Frieza alongside Nappa and Raditz, growing stronger and dreaming of the day he would surpass everyone, even the legends of his own people.

After Raditz’s death on Earth, Vegeta sought the Dragon Balls for himself. His arrival led to a brutal battle with the Z Fighters, ending in defeat at Goku’s (Kakarot) hands and forcing him to retreat. He then pursued the Namekian Dragon Balls, breaking ties with Frieza and fighting Zarbon, Dodoria, the Ginyu Force, and eventually Frieza himself. Repeated near-death recoveries pushed Vegeta’s power to new extremes, but Frieza’s final form crushed him. Dying in tears, Vegeta revealed the truth of the Saiyans’ extermination and begged Goku to defeat Frieza.

After Namek’s destruction, Vegeta remained on Earth with one obsession: becoming a Super Saiyan before Goku did. He trained relentlessly in deep space, nearly killing himself in the vacuum, and survived only through rage and sheer willpower. His pursuit of strength was fueled by jealousy, pride, and the belief that the Super Saiyan legend belonged to him alone.

During this period—drifting between planets, pushing his limits, and repeatedly recovering from extreme injury—Vegeta finally broke through. His first transformation into a Super Saiyan came not from purity or tragedy, but from frustration and fury that he could not surpass Goku. This breakthrough set the stage for his return to Earth just as the Android Saga began, where he revealed his new form during the battle with Android 19 and established himself as a decisive force in the coming conflict.

Appearance: Vegeta is a well-built man of below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is black (or dark reddish brown, depending on the media) and spikes upwards with a prominent widow's peak. Like most Saiyans, he possesses defined eyes with a consistently stern look to them. Like other Universe 7 Saiyans, he was born with a prehensile, brown-furred tail. Wears an updated version of his armor and bodysuit, where his armor now has yellow shoulder straps, instead of shoulder guards, and the armor plates now taking on polygonal shapes instead of semi-oval ones, meanwhile, his bodysuit now extends to cover the lower half of his neck.

As a Super Saiyan, his muscle mass increases slightly, his skin-tone turns lighter, his hair turns blond, and his eyes turn green. He also is able to generate a golden aura and his peak performance increases either 10-fold or 50-fold from his base form.

Personality: Vegeta during this time is aggressively prideful, volatile, and fiercely competitive, believing that achieving Super Saiyan has finally placed him above Kakarot. His arrogance is sharpened to a razor edge, and he carries an unshakable certainty that he alone is destined to surpass every other warrior. He’s quick to anger, quicker to belittle others, and utterly intolerant of being questioned or obstructed.

Despite the harsh exterior, he is constantly driven by a desperate, consuming need to validate his strength, proving to himself and the universe that he has reclaimed the honor he lost under Frieza. He refuses to show vulnerability, masking old wounds with snide remarks, scoffs, and scathing confidence. His speech is blunt, dismissive, and dripping with superiority, but his determination is unmatched—he trains obsessively, chases battles relentlessly, and sees every enemy as a stepping stone toward absolute power.

Underneath the rage and ego is a simmering conflict—he knows Kakarot still stands in his way, and the thought torments him. He’s jealous, driven, obsessed, and absolutely certain that his destiny is to be the greatest Saiyan alive… no matter what it costs.

Abilities: Flight - The ability to fly with the use of ki.

Galick Gun - To utilize it, Vegeta curls his fingers and places both his hands together at chest level facing the same direction (so that the palm of one hand is on the back of the other). Then, once enough ki is gathered, he shouts "Galick Gun!" and thrusts both hands forward to fire a powerful blast of energy. The result is a powerful, huge, fuchsia-colored ki beam that emanates from his hands and body.

Big Bang Attack - In order to perform it, Vegeta extends his arm, opens his palm and turns his hand up right. He then condenses his ki in his palm and launches a ki blast that proceeds to detonate in a massive explosion.

Photon Bomber - First, the user raises his right hand as he curls his fingers and charges a white energy sphere. Then, he brings his hand forward and fires the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

Maximum Flasher - Vegeta draws his right hand back to his right side and charges a yellow energy sphere. Then, he brings his hand forward and fires the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

Amazing Impact - First, Vegeta dodges the opponent's punch and lays on the ground to double kick them up into the air. Then, he backflips up onto his feet and flies up into the air above the opponent. Finally, Vegeta knocks the opponent down to the ground with a Double Axe Handle, inflicting a high amount of damage.

Super Saiyan - Though it was only a Saiyan legend at the time, Vegeta was fascinated with this transformation and obsessed over obtaining it so that he could cement his status as a warrior of legend and one of the strongest in history. Seeing Goku achieve this form first and used it to defeat Frieza only fueled his desire to unlock the potential hidden within him.
