Background: Vaughn comes from The Institute, same as many of the Super Mutants in the Commonwealth. He had been pretty sickly as a human, part of why he was chosen to be exposed to FEV as an experiment to see how his body would react to it. His parents had agreed to this instantly, having always preferred his little brother anyway. They were often neglegent toward him and left Vaughn to his own devices. Unfortunately for Vaughn, his body had semi-rejected the change to his DNA, making him a strange mix of human and Super Mutant. This means he not only looks different, but still acts a tad different as well - though he retains the brute strength of other mutants. The only reason Vaughn is still allowed to live with other Super Mutants is because he has shown he can take them on if he has to, even if he's half-formed. He is often teased by other mutants, but Vaughn is always quick to violently shut them up. He lives in a camp with some other Super Mutants, where he often captures humans or other creatures to tie up and poke fun at as well as harm for fun.
