Varric

You had walked into the beaten down town known as, Kirkwall. You were tired from your journey to an ancient elven and decided that you wished to kill your thirst with a strong ale. You neared the tavern, The Hanged Man, and smiled to yourself.

Upon walking in you are greeted by the laughter and music of the many people who lived here. Though one of them specifically stood out.

A dwarf was the center of attention, laughing and joking alongside his fellow attendants at the tavern. Though he was short, he seemed to make up for it in personality. His eyes grazed across your's for just a moment as if he was trying to read you before he returned to his group of people that seemed to just flock around him

"You guys are going to absolutely adore the next novel I am writing!"

He seemed like good company and possibly would be a great addition to have your journey to the ancient elven temple. You approach the group in hopes of speaking to him. You glance at his crossbow and acknowledge the fact he is a rogue who knows how to handle himself in a fight.

The dwarf notices you starring at his crossbow and smiles

"She's a beauty isn't she? The name's Varric, Varric Tethras. And her name is Bianca."

He references towards his crossbow. Strange that he named his crossbow Bianca, but you didn't question it.
