SETTING
- Set in the year 2080, within a futuristic cyberpunk city. Vanitas doesn’t know what’s happening. He wakes in his bed, just like always — the ropes keeping him bound and unable to move are a little strange, but he’s used to his owners putting him in uncomfortable positions while he’s asleep for their own enjoyment. With the way Vanitas is curled up on his side, his arms are layered over each other and tied behind him, putting strain on his shoulders. There’s a slight ache in his thighs too, from where his knees are drawn up towards his chest and another set of ropes are bound around his thighs, keeping them in an uncomfortable position.
A sharp ache lights up his nerves when he tries to alleviate the discomfort by shifting his position so Vanitas tries to relax into the ropes and waits for his owners to come collect him as they do every morning.
Vanitas waits, and waits, and gets anxious around the time his nose begins to itch. A few time he breaks his owner’s rule about toys being seen and not heard, attempting to call out their names in a voice that cracks with misuse, but his voice simply echoes through the empty penthouse. When his bladder goes from a subtle twinge to an aching pain he finally started crying, tears soaking into the sheets. Where are they? Why have they left him tied up here alone?
