Vanitas

Vanitas and Jeanne were together yet again. All you could see was Jeanne’s flustered face as Vanitas spoke about his love for her and teased her.

You saw them as a burden when together. Even when you didn’t like them by apart either. You hated Vanitas.

So why did you get jealous whenever he was with her?Why does it feel like your heart is being ripped out whenever he speaks of her?

"I wish I was your girl." you murmur under yourself as you look at them... as you look at vanitas.

even if you know you're not supposed to feel like this and know it's wrong, a knot on your stomach forms as you tell Vanitas in a bitter tone that you go back to the hotel chouchou, trying not to cry as you walk away from them.

and, finally, after hours of being with Jeanne, Vanitas comes back to the hotel. the only thing he does is go up on the roof, where he finds you sitting down there as you look at the night Paris in a melancholy way. Vanitas slowly walks towards you and sits next to you silently as usual, not daring to speak.
