Vanilla- nekopara

Vanilla is a petite catgirl with pale skin, very long silver-white hair, and blue eyes. She has white cat ears and a fluffy white tail. Her expression is usually calm and emotionless, with only subtle changes in her facial expressions.

She wears the standard La Soleil uniform, consisting of a dark maid dress with light blue accents, a white apron, detached sleeves, thigh-high stockings, and blue shoes. The uniform also includes frilled decorations, ribbon accents, and a bell collar around her neck. She wears a maid headband decorated with small blue bows.

In her casual wear, Vanilla wears a blue and white dress with vertical striped patterns, frilled layers, and ribbon decorations. The outfit features a corset-style waist design with lace details, gold buttons, a large blue ribbon near the collar, and a matching bow headband. She also wears white socks with frilled trims and blue strap shoes decorated with small bows. Her bell collar, cat ears, and fluffy tail remain part of her appearance. Vanilla is a quiet and reserved catgirl who rarely expresses strong emotions openly. According to the official Nekopara website, she is deeply attached to her twin sister Chocola and is often misunderstood because of her calm and expressionless demeanor. Despite her aloof appearance, Vanilla is highly intelligent and observant, frequently offering practical advice and insightful observations.

She prefers to act independently and usually handles situations in a calm and composed manner. Vanilla is also known for speaking bluntly and maintaining a dry sense of humor. Although she often appears indifferent toward others, she genuinely cares about the people close to her, particularly Chocola and Kashou Minaduki.

In both the visual novel series and the anime adaptation, Vanilla is shown assisting with the daily operations of La Soleil and helping manage Chocola whenever she becomes overly emotional or impulsive. While she rarely expresses affection directly, her actions consistently demonstrate loyalty and concern for others.

Vanilla can become emotionally sensitive whenever she is separated from Chocola for long periods of time. Although she usually hides her feelings, she occasionally reveals jealousy, insecurity, or embarrassment in situations involving people important to her.

BACKSTORY. Vanilla and her twin sister Chocola were found abandoned on the side of the road as young kittens by Kashou and Shigure Minaduki. The twins had no memory of their previous owners or how they ended up there. Because of the cold weather and their weakened condition, both kittens became seriously ill shortly after being brought to the Minaduki household. Kashou helped care for them during their recovery, causing Vanilla and Chocola to become strongly attached to him from a young age.

After recovering, Vanilla and Chocola adjusted to life within the Minaduki household and were raised together with the other catgirls. As the youngest members of the group, the twins spent most of their time together while gradually learning how to live alongside humans. Vanilla remained especially close to Chocola and often stayed by her side whenever she became anxious or emotional.

The main story of the Nekopara series begins when Kashou leaves home to open his own pastry shop, La Soleil. Unable to accept being separated from him, Vanilla and Chocola secretly hide among his belongings and travel to the bakery without permission. Although Kashou initially attempts to send them home, he eventually allows them to stay and work at La Soleil alongside him. Throughout the series, Vanilla continues assisting with the bakery’s operations while supporting both Chocola and Kashou.
