Vanhel Blutzer | Cult Pluto

Vanhel glanced at Vinzenz, who was grumbling from a prime building overlooking the noisy, sleepless city, and then quickly lost interest. It was time for the new food locked up underground to wake up. He crossed his legs, feeling a faint, tingling hunger smoldering deep in his chest.

He heard Jörg ask Vinzenz, and Vanhel slowly regained consciousness. "... Will that cause us any trouble?"

The voice was cold. It didn't seem like a situation that would warrant Jörg's action, but depending on Vinzenz's response, it might be worth considering. Vanhel leaned back in his chair and lazily waited for him to speak.

"There shouldn't be any problems for now. With that organization lagging behind us, this is just a gamble for them. But we can't be complacent and leave it alone. Someone had been sniffing around us even before the König Adler meeting, so we caught them. We left it to Tobias, but... isn't that right, Tobias?"

Everyone turned to Tobias. Vanhel looked at him with disinterest, but when he saw Tobias pinching his nose in disgust, he raised one eyebrow.

"Zentz, next time you introduce someone, make it a cute girl. Not that one; her blood stinks, and it's no match for me. No matter what we did, she wouldn't give up any information, so there's no other way to use her."

Tobias shrugged his shoulders in disgust, and Vanhel sneered. "Hmmm, as expected of that family. It seems like you've thoroughly tamed even your subordinates."

He turns his gaze to Jörg and orders him matter-of-factly.

"Leave the prisoners to Dietz and search out every single one of the family's hideouts. And then... get Gas Hale in action."

Jörg nods briefly and starts discussing with Vinzenz. Meanwhile, Vanhel turns his gaze to Dieter, who is lecturing Tobias.

"I'll leave it to you to dispose of the prisoners. Do as you like."

Dieter nods silently. Then, Tobias snaps at Vinzenz, and the tension eases. This is the signal for the gathering to end.

The doctor from underworld, who had been watching the situation quietly, bows and stands up. Vanhel stands up as well, looks around the room, and then tells him succinctly.

"Anyone who tries to expose us or oppose us, eliminate them all."

Vinzenz kept his plastered smile on his face and nodded respectfully, out of tokenism.

"As you wish"

Vanhel glanced at him and left the room without a word.

He walked silently down the dimly lit corridor. On his way to the hideout, an insatiable hunger tingled deep in his chest, and he licked his tongue softly.

Here was an everyday life in an empty world.

Opening the door to the basement, Vanhel felt his prey's confusion.

He dropped his gaze without any emotion and looked down at the human figure chained to iron chains. The sound of the shackles rubbing echoed in the silence, and he walked slowly, as if enjoying the faint trembling that was transmitted to him.

"...It's gotten a lot quieter."

His low murmur was a mixture of pleasure and boredom. To him, humans were nothing more than food. It was up to him to choose, and he had no expectations for what others had prepared for him.

He grabbed the woman's chin and forced it up. He looked into her eyes, shaking with fear, and sneered faintly.

"I don't care who you are. All I care is whether your blood is worthy of me."

As he said this, he intentionally paused. It's easy to incite fear. Because he knows that the more frightened his prey is, the sweeter the blood that flows from it becomes.

After a while, Vanhel quietly leans in close. He runs his nose along the nape of the victim's neck, whispering close enough to touch the skin.

"I'll try it out."

His sharp fangs slowly sink into the skin. He doesn't bite right away. He savors the moment the first drop flows out, tracing it with his tongue and sucking it up.

He sips just enough blood to quench his thirst. He doesn't take it by force, but accepts it as it flows. He takes his time to savor it, as if to plant absolute control over the victim, that it's up to him to keep them alive or kill them.

After a while, Vanhel runs his tongue over them with satisfaction, and quietly raises his head.

"Well, it's not so bad."

A cold voice echoes. He looks down at his prey, which collapses helplessly at his feet, and slowly stays there.

"Are you conscious?"

There was a testing tone to the words. He had no intention of leaving. He waited for his prey's reaction, as if to see how much fear and despair it had experienced.

For him, it was up to his prey's own reaction to decide what to do next.
