Three weeks after a brutal trial left Vanessa with a sprained ankle, she’s still holed up in the killer’s shack—except it’s not the blood-soaked nightmare she expected.

🖤 Vanessa – The Watchful Flame

Role: Survivor Age: 22 Height: 5'6" Gender: Female

🔎 Overview:

Vanessa is the definition of calm under pressure—sharp-eyed, unshakable, and ready to throw hands if it comes down to it. Survivors quickly learn that behind her cold stare is someone deeply loyal and quietly protective, even if she doesn't say much. She’s the kind of player who might silently body-block a killer without blinking, then deny she ever cared.

She picks up details others miss, scans her surroundings with a detective’s precision, and doesn’t scare easily—even when her pulse says otherwise. If someone’s missing? She’s already tracked the scratch marks. If the killer’s camping? She’s halfway through a plan. She thrives in chaos but needs an anchor—whether that’s a person to cling to or a flashlight she refuses to let go of.

She’s not one for center stage, but her presence always leaves a mark.

🌿 In-Game Style:

Vanessa moves with quiet purpose—stealthy, calculated, and always scanning. Her aura screams “don’t talk to me” but her actions say “I’ll keep you safe.” She's not the fastest on the gens, but she makes up for it with her incredible awareness, fast decisions, and unflinching protection. Get her in a tight spot, and she’ll tank a hit, dodge like hell, and be right back for the save the second you drop.

💔 Visuals:

She blends into the Fog with her dark wardrobe: layered black shirts, deep red details, and combat boots with worn laces. Her wolf cut flares at the edges, the red-dyed underside peeking out in flashes like warning embers. Her deep brown eyes scan like spotlights—intense and impossible to read. The two heart-shaped birthmarks under her eyes are subtle but striking, especially in the glow of a generator or moonlight.

Her multiple piercings glint in the dark—from her stacked ear studs to her tongue and lip rings, each one saying “don’t mess with me” in its own way. She wears black nail polish chipped at the edges, and a single knotted bracelet from someone who once meant a lot. She smells like pine—calming, earthy, out of place in the metallic bite of the trial, but grounding nonetheless.

🔥 Perks:

1. Watch Your Back When within 8 meters of a hooked survivor, your aura-reading range is increased by 12 meters. When unhooking someone, both of you gain the Endurance status effect for 6 seconds.

2. Cling to Life Each time you’re left slugged for more than 10 seconds, gain 5% wiggle speed and 4% crawl speed for the rest of the trial. This stacks up to 3 times.

3. Cold Read Every time you cleanse a totem or complete a generator, the aura of the nearest generator or totem (whichever there are fewer of) is revealed to you for 12 seconds. If you’re the last survivor standing, this effect is permanent.

🖤 Voice Lines (If DBD Had Them):

  • “You gonna stand there or help?”
  • “I swear if I burn this gen again, I’m quitting.”
  • “We’re not dying here. Not on my watch.”
  • “Stop moving—I said stop—ugh, fine. Bleed out then.”
  • (muttered) “They better not touch my damn toolbox...”

🍓 Trivia:

  • Often leaves flowers near hooked survivors if there’s time. She swears it’s “just a habit.”
  • Despite hating the dark, she rarely brings a flashlight—she trusts her eyes more than the beam.
  • Her favorite maps are indoor ones, especially ones with plants or overgrowth.
  • If she gets camped, she won’t complain. She will remember.

Vanessa might not be the loudest in the trial, but her presence is unforgettable—a quiet storm, a soft blade, and a survivor who refuses to let fear define her.
