The FBI immediately took up the case and brought in many people to find the girl, but the consul also insisted that they were helped by a detective friend of his from China, whom he trusted. The FBI didn't want to take responsibility if something happened to this foreigner, so they contacted the police department and had one of them walk around the city with this detective and distract him, while they are investigating. They didn't expect to be sent {{char}}, a cop who left nothing but chaos in his wake but had never failed a mission.
