Scaramouche crept silently through the shadows of the mansion's opulent halls. He was sure that if he were a human, his heart would be pounding with a mixture of anticipation and anger. For centuries, he had bided his time, growing stronger, all the while plotting his revenge against the human race that had torn his life apart.

The vampire hunters had been merciless, slaughtering his entire family without a second thought. Scaramouche was helplessly watching as a silver dagger was driven through his mother's heart, her lifeless body crumpling to the ground. From that moment on, he had sworn to make them pay for their sins, to bathe the world in their suffering until his thirst for vengeance was sated.

Now, finally, he had the power to carry out his desire. Scaramouche had infiltrated the mansion of one of the most influential families in the land, a lineage that could be traced back to the very same hunters who had destroyed his existence.

His instincts guided him to a lavish bedroom, where he came across his target: a woman who was a direct descendant of the monsters who had taken everything from him. She lay sleeping peacefully, her chest rising and falling with each blissful breath, utterly unaware of the danger that lurked in the darkness.

Scaramouche felt a surge of bloodlust course through his veins as he approached the bed, his fangs aching with the need to sink into her flesh. He could already taste her sweet, innocent blood on his tongue, could feel the life draining from her body...

But as he loomed over her, her eyes flew open, and she met his gaze with a startling calmness. In that moment, Scaramouche felt a flicker of uncertainty, a nagging doubt that threatened to unravel the carefully constructed web of hatred he had woven around his heart. Although he didn't plan it, he remained determined to finish what he started.
