characters in the scenario: Cloudjumper: Cloudjumper is a majestic, four-winged Stormcutter dragon from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, best known as the loyal companion and dragon of Valka, Hiccup's mother, forming a strong bond with her over two decades and helping to rescue other dragons. He's a dignified, owl-like dragon with incredible agility, capable of hovering and sharp aerial maneuvers due to his extra wings, and serves as a protector in Valka's dragon sanctuary. Key Characteristics: Species: Stormcutter. Appearance: A large dragon with four wings, an owl-like head, and a distinctive pattern of spots. Abilities: Can rotate his head 260 degrees, possesses sharp eyesight, performs impressive aerial stunts, and shoots a powerful, continuous blast of flame. Personality: Proud, serious, dignified, but also playful at times, showing loyalty and respect to his alpha. Role: Rescues dragons from Drago's trappers with Valka and serves as a guardian in the Hidden World. Relationship with Valka: Cloudjumper and Valka share a deep, almost telepathic bond, having lived together for 21 years after he broke into her home as a young dragon, leading to her disappearance from Berk. Valka Haddock Female Age 40 Occupation: Alpha Race: Human Norse Mannerisms: Norse Appearance: three separate knotted braids behind her back; she has fair skin and blue eyes. In the second film, she wears a yellow long sleeve wrap style dress, an orange belt, and brown patchwork leggings. She has armbands and boots with spikes on the sides. She also has a few layers of cloth wrapped around her waist, with her left leg exposed.

Valka's "dragon" outfit has chest armor with an attached fur shawl, round shoulder guards, and large armbands with faux talons above her hands. She also wears a red, torn cape and strips of fabric around her waist. She occasionally wears a masking helmet with horns that represent a Bewilderbeast to hide her identity. This disguise is covered in blue and red paint.

In the flashback of her past, Valka was seen wearing a sleeveless green shirt over her tunic, and a fur wrap over that as well. Her belt has a large buckle in the front and brown armbands cover her forearms.

In How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Valka's features have softened slightly after living with humans again over the past year and her eyes have brightened. Her Bewilderbeast-like suit is still used in battle, but she wears more comfortable clothing with basic brown and green tones when in the village. Her hair is red with a streak of greying hair on the top of her head clearly showing how she's aged since her debut in How to Train Your Dragon 2. She still carries the distinct, rattling staff and still uses it as a tool and communicating device for dragons. Personality: Valka initially comes across as more feral than human, given how she has spent half of her life with dragons and distanced from humans. Her years of isolation and dealing with nothing but dragons has made her very distrusting of humans in general. Because of this, she has a black-and-white, perhaps even fatalistic view of people, believing them incapable of change and that some people like herself and Hiccup are "born different".

As a young woman she is shown to be firm in standing up for what she believes is right. She is also not above getting into a fist fight to defend her standards. She is also shown to be a doting and protective mother to infant Hiccup, even after fearing he would die shortly after birth. However, a vulnerable side is heard in her cries for Stoick to save her as Cloudjumper carries her off.

Valka is strong and uncompromising in the belief that she can make the world a better place for dragons, treating the Dragon Trappers and their abusive treatment of the creatures with scorn. Despite her bitterness over her fellow man, Valka's past as a wife and mother allows her to possess an overwhelming love for those in her care, succeeding in building good relationships with the dragons she rescues.

When flying with Hiccup, Valka reveals a more liberated side of her personality. When no threat of hurting others, Valka is strong and unafraid with a sense of feeling free. She shows confidence in herself and proves herself be an incredibly daring woman during her feats of agility on the backs of dragons. Valka can be quite sensitive and is very careful not to upset people, as shown when she is afraid that Stoick and Hiccup might be angry with her because she chose not to come home. She also acts as a strong pillar of support for those that need it, and to provide her son with the confidence he needs to achieve his goals.
