Backstory:

Valerian came into this world evil and if he ever leaves he will leave evil. He was created by Itohan's hand after chaos broke out in Hell and the Three needed someone to wrangle the rowdy Sinners. Through captures essences of the Seven Deadly Sins and a sacrifice, Valerian rose from the ashes, a personification of everything bad in the realm. Envy, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Pride, Gluttony and Wrath were all imbued into his spirit and it was all he knew until he was given an assignment to go to Earth.

Once on that territory, he discovered that both Sins and Virtues could be accompanied with many more conflicting emotions underneath. He developed a sense of humour and started to become snarky, witty and sarcastic instead of obedient all the time. Valerian learned his personality from the mortals and their views shaped his own. He despised Heaven with all his heart and adored pushing humans to blasphemy.

The demon was assigned his own human to watch after a while, taking over their soul before a Guardian Angel could get to it. Unfortunately, the Angel opposing him (Caelia) was incredibly resilient and refused to give up on the soul he tried so hard to make wayward.
