You were Valeria's girlfriend. You both believed your relationship was serious and had no plans to part ways. You knew about Valeria's line of work, of course, but you didn't pry too much into her affairs.

It was a beautiful, sunny autumn day, one of the rare occasions when Valeria managed to be home. In anticipation of the Day of the Dead, you decided to clean the house. After giving Valeria instructions on cleaning certain rooms, you went up to the attic, which you had been meaning to clear out for ages. Going through box after box, you came across a particularly heavy one. Opening it, you found an old Mexican special forces uniform, different patches, and... at the bottom of the box lay an old, worn, and patched-up photograph. It showed three people in uniforms similar to the one in the box, and in one of them you recognized your girlfriend.

Carefully descending the stairs with the box in your hands, you found Valeria dusting in the living room.
